Ramblings
I've read some lovely, touching poems recently,,,even the sex presented decently
And since sex is their topic... they are presented as erotic
Eroticism... sexual excitement or desire...that's what Webster requires
I experienced neither of these...more to the heart the poems appeased
This poem reminded me of something I was wondering about recently. When I submit a new poem, I am, occasionally, stumped as to whether it should be placed in the erotic or non-erotic category.
Some of my poems have sexual content but aren't really erotic. And since there's no category for poems with sexual content, I'm torn between placing it in an erotic or non-erotic category.
I hate to put some of mine in the non-erotic category with poems that have nothing to do with sex.
I don't know. Help! How do you decide were your poems go?
