Finding a parking spot right in front of my apartment.

Getting holiday and birthday cards in the mail.

Long, hot steamy showers or baths when it's freezing out.

Hot chocolate.

Fuzzy slippers.

A compliment from one of my students.

What are some of the little things that make YOU happy?

A smile from a pretty girl

Joking around with all my friends

falling into a warm bed

hot chocolate also

Christmas lights- that's a good one. I'm adding that to my list as well- I hope you don't mind. :)

I'm a believer in being happy about the little things. You can be happy about the big things, but for most people those are pretty rare.

a phone call from someone I love

warm socks

a 50% off the clearance price sale

E Cards..

hot chocolate while watching the snow fall.

Kisses

the words 'I love you'

A voice.

buying something special for someone i love

smiles on my kids faces

fuzzy little kittens that curl up next to you and purr while you rub thier tummies.

...Beautiful sunsets, or sunrises...
...Tress in the spring, just buddin' for their years growth..
...just bein' out on a beautiful day...

...A nice twisty road, my feet up on the cruiser pegs, stereo blastin', just ridin' at a leisurely pace....
...Like the commercial says, "it don't get much better then this"...

Salami and cream cheese, right now.

Letters in the mail from friends.

Good news from a loved one, not enough of that recently.

My christmas tree and stockings.

My shower loofah.

The new axe spray, it smells good on ya!

Seeing you happy...that does it for me.
That's sweet.

Another one: watching the snow fall outside while I'm staying warm inside.

And it's still falling!!!

They just closed us...but I have an hour and a half drive in good conditions.

My little baby granddaughter.
When my children are happy.
When #1TC walks up behind me and nibbles my neck.
Phone calls from my friends.
A cold diet pepsi just waiting for me in the fridge.
Waking up next to the most wonderful man in the world.
Someone handing me a hot towel right out of the dryer to dry off with.

Stuff like that, I'm easy.

Sitting alone, silent night, with only christmas lights on

hot herbal tea

hot baths

my giggling daughters

a warm blanket

a surprise phonecall

the smell of a cinnamon candle

baking cookies

crimson lips on the nape of my neck

Silly old-fashioned love songs, like this one:

These Foolish Things (Remind Me of You)

Oh will you never let me be?
Oh will you never set me free?
The ties that bound us are still around us
There's no escape that I can see
And still those little things remain
That bring me happiness or pain

A cigarette that bears a lipstick's traces
An airline ticket to romantic places
And still my heart has wings
These foolish things
Remind me of you

A tinkling piano in the next apartment
Those stumbling words that told you
What my heart meant
A fairground's painted swings
These foolish things
Remind me of you

You came, you saw, you conquered me
When you did that to me
I somehow knew that this had to be

The winds of March that make my heart a dancer
A telephone that rings, but who's to answer?
Oh, how the ghost of you clings
These foolish things
Remind me of you

Gardenia perfume ling'ring on a pillow
Wild strawb'ries only seven francs a kilo
And still my heart has wings
These foolish things
Remind me of you

The park at evening when the bell has sounded
The Ile-de-France with all the girls around it
The beauty that is Spring
These foolish things
Remind me of you

I know that this was bound to me
These things have haunted me
For you've entirely enchanted me

The sigh of midnight trains in empty stations
Silk stockings thrown aside, dance invitations
Oh, how the ghost of you clings
These foolish things
Remind me of you

First daffodills and long excited cables
And candle light on little corner tables
And still my heart has wings
These foolish things
Remind me of you

The smile of Garbo and the scent of roses
The waiter's whistling as the last bar closes
The song that Ella sings
These foolish things
Remind me of you

How strange, how sweet to find you still
These things are dear to me
That seem to bring you so near to me

The scent of smould'ring leaves, the wail of steamers
Two lovers on the street who walk like dreamers
Oh, how the ghost of you clings
These foolish things
Remind me of you, just you

Waking up in the morning to find out my new puppy didn't crap beside my bed.

Snickers Bars.

Sunflower seeds (Barbeque Spitz)

Alone on the dock at the cottage in the early morning... the sun just breaking the treeline on the horizon, a cool mist dancing over the still water, steaming coffee in hand. An unseen loon calls out from the silence... those are great mornings.
