Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer

And..my favorite..

They said there'll be snow at Christmas
They said there'll be peace on Earth
But instead it just kept on raining
A veil of tears for the Virgin's birth
I remember one Christmas morning
A winters light and a distant choir
And the peal of a bell and that Christmas Tree smell
And their eyes full of tinsel and fire

They sold me a dream of Christmas
They sold me a Silent Night
And they told me a fairy story
'Till I believed in the Israelite
And I believed in Father Christmas
And I looked at the sky with excited eyes
'Till I woke with a yawn in the first light of dawn
And I saw him and through his disguise

I wish you a hopeful Christmas
I wish you a brave New Year
All anguish pain and sadness
Leave your heart and let your road be clear
They said there'll be snow at Christmas
They said there'll be peace on Earth
Hallelujah Noel be it Heaven or Hell
The Christmas you get you deserve

The Cat Carol - Merrin Cadell

The cat wanted in to the warm, warm house,
But no one would let the cat in.
It was cold outside, on Christmas Eve.
She meowed and meowed by the door.

She was not let in to the warm, warm house.
and her tiny cries were ignored
It was a blizzard out, the worst of the year.
There was no place for her to hide

Just then a poor little mouse crept by,
he had lost his way in the snow.
He was on his last legs, and was almost froze
The cat lifted him with her paw.

She said, "poor mouse do not be afraid,
because this is Christmas Eve.
On this freezing night we both need a friend.
I won't hurt you, stay by my side."

She dug a small hole in an icy drift.
This is where they would spend the night.
She curled herself 'round her helpless friend,
protecting him from the cold.

When Santa came by at the end of the night,
the reindeer started to cry.
They found the cat lying there in the snow,
and they could see that she had died.

They lifted her up from the frozen ground,
and placed her into the sleigh.
It was then they saw the little mouse wrapped up.
She kept him warm with her fur.

Oh thank you Santa for finding us...
Dear cat wake up we are saved!
"I'm sorry mouse, but your friend has died.
There's nothing more we can do."

"On Christmas Eve she gave you her life,
the greatest gift of them all."
Santa lifted the cat up, into the night sky
and laid her to rest among the stars

"Dear mouse don't cry you are not alone,
you will see your friend every year.
Each Christmas a cat constellation will shine...
to remind us that her love's still here.

The Chipmunk Song ~ The Chipmunks

You've got my only two.

Are there any holiday must-listens that i've missed? Keep them coming, please.

I'm thinking of calling the CD "Christmas Music that Doesn't Suck".

i prefer The Night Santa Went Crazy.... by Wierd Al

Well, slightly old fashioned I suppose. . .

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus *I always loved this song and often wished I would find a husband to dress up as Santa so I could kiss him - along the story of the song!*

and

Jingle Bell Rock - like the beat of it!

BTW, V ~ AWESOME Christmas Card idea!!!! Very unique! *I might steal it from you!* :D

The Bathroom Door Said Gentlemen. I'll try to find the lyrics online. It's to the music of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (which is my favorite real carol).

I had the name wrong... Here are the lyrics

The Restroom Door Said Gentlemen
(to God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen)

The restroom door said Gentlemen
So I just walked inside
I took two steps and realized
I'd been taken for a ride
I heard high voices turned and found
The place was occupied
By two nuns, three old ladies, and a nurse
What could be worse?
Than two nuns, three old ladies and a nurse.

The restroom door said Gentlemen
It must have been a gag
As soon as I walked in there I ran into some old hag
She sprayed me with a can of mace
And snapped me with her bag.
I could tell this just wouldn't be my day
What can I say?
It just wasn't turning out to be my day.

The restroom door said Gentlemen
And I would like to find
The crummy little creep who had the nerve to switch the sign
Cause I've got two black eyes
And one high heel up my behind
Now I can't sit with comfort and joy
Boy, oh, boy
No, I'll never sit with comfort and joy.

guyinbsmt, that is classic.

Mele Kalikimaka

Merry Christmas to You, Hawaiian Style

Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say
On a bright Hawaiian Christmas Day.

That's the island greeting that we send to you
From the land where palm trees sway.

Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright.
The sun to shine by day and all the stars at night.

Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way
To say "Merry Christmas to you." you."

Bruce!

Merry Christmas, Baby!
by Bruce Springsteen....Santa came down the chimney!
