I did the search for stolen stories, and all these sites below come up on google with extracts from 1 of MY stories. But when I click on the link, the same page turns up, and it is not my story. And there is no cached.

I searched for 'Leonn Bella Marie' on google.com results, but because Leonn has a double n, there were only 4 pages of results.

More likely they have models with those names. I use selected sentences out of the story when I search, MUCH harder to match something other than what it is that way.

I did the search for my next story 'jolie arik liana' and got these [again, only 4 pages of results, so easy to find]:

They must be the same crowd. But again, when I do cached, I am quickly bounced from the website to another website so I can't see what comes up.

I come up with a bunch of links (all fake) to that same site when I google my stories also.

I looked thru that mess of a site, or at least tried to, (redirect, redirect, redirect... make sure your firewall is turned on!) for a while and couldn't find them. I think they are just using them as a lure. If they are there, no one will ever find them unless it's completly by accidnet.

And it is the same one for the .info sites. You might try getting a list together and PMing Laurel so she can have a look.

Aaahhh... I hadn't noticed any of mine were cached. I'll have to look, but I'm on my work machine right now and it has no firewall so I dare not try till I get home.

They use copy from stories as "google bait" to lure people to their sites.

I don't believe the stories are actually acessible on that site.

But I have emailed offending sites before and received an apology and a promise to remove my stuff from their intro mix.

If you want to make sure, when searching with yahoo (dont know if google has them as well), dont open the link given, but (if its available), press "cached". it will automatically bring you to the part your search directed you to, with the words being highlighted.

Not all of them come up cached. I don't understand this into mix, unless it is 100,000 pages long, why include an except of my stories?

Anyway, I've PM'd Laurel about it to see if she has had trouble with these people before.
