Okay, better Never than Late. Well, Never is cute and Late was a jerk.
Allrighty then. Welcome to the LWG thread round 2. Round 1 was cool, we saw some excellent writing and insightful commentary from the participants. There's a thread around here somewhere if you'd like to look it over...
Right now we're soliciting participants, just to see who wants to play along with us. We're easy to get along with, no "don't quit your day job, dork" {insert snide laugh} commentary here. Writers talking to writers.
If you want to join the only requirement is that you participate. Sign up here, just an "I'm in!" will do. Tuesday, would have been Monday, but well, there was this shed thing... to make a long story nonexistent, I'll post a picture on Tuesday. Everyone will have a chance two write a single word processor page about that picture. There is only one restriction, no minors in sexual situations. You can feel free to write anything else that you feel inspired to write.
On Tuesday, when I post the picture, I will also post the names of 2 to 3 participants who will post their writings first, second, and so on if necessary. If you want to go first, please volunteer. You may not get to, obviously not if everyone does, but if you don't want to and you say so, you won't go first. You have until Monday the following week to post something. Once ALL this week's writers have posted discussion will open. Discussion will be closed on the first set Two Mondays from now. Two Mondays from now the next group of writers will get to post. Yes! Two whole weeks to think about it and write something good! Maybe even more!
The reason why we're breaking it up is that writing an effective and thoughtful critique takes time and it's difficult to get more than 2 or 3 in a week. It hampers discussion.
There are guidelines to posting you writings, but they're easy to handle, more length and what kind of help you're looking for.
Participation is open to everyone, the only thing we do ask is that you participate in the discussion. It's okay not to post a writing for critique if something gets in the way, but we'd really like for you to participate in the discussion segment.
I hope this is clear enough, if not, email or PM me and I'll let ya know. Anyone who can clarify this is more than welcome to.
