It's easy to find stock sounds (used in movies and television) on the internet, but people often mis-hear sounds which are similar to the ones used decade after decade.
I have a good ear, and a pretty good knowledge of media. I'm going to list a few sounds; let's see if you can link to the correct examples. You might find them on their own, or have a clip from a TV show, commercial, or movie where the sound can be heard at a certain point in the clip.
1. Children laughing
2. Cat screeching
3. Car crash
4. Two famous screams (1 is easy!)
Again, you're not just finding examples of above - you're looking for the definitive stock sound clip used in various media.
In addition, if you find a stock sound that's uber-famous but not referenced here, you get extra credit...whatever that is.
