I don't think the title of Literotica Guru should be handed out to everybody after so many posts. You should really have to earn it.

So who qualifies as a Literotica Guru? Make your nominations here.

I have someone in mind, but I won't say yet.

Double post. See below.

I have a list. Don't be pissed at me if your name isn't on it, but "Guru" has a very distinctive meaning to me...

Gauche
Og
Perdita
Dr. Mab.
Colly
Weird Harold
Sweetnpetite
Pure
Snooper
WildSweetOne
Alex de Kok
Lauren Hynde
CharleyH

The only reason I will give is that all of the names above have a great depth of knowledge and give far more to this community than they get credit for, all for free and from the goodness of their hearts.

Lou

Edited for carp spolling.

Adding one Guru: Tatelou
And two um Senators (in the Roman sense): KillerMuffin and RisiaSkye

:)

Without bias:

Svenskaflicka, Gauche, Ogg, Mab., RumpleForeskin, Colly, Weird Harold, Pops, Sweetnpetite, Tatelou, Lauren Hynde, Mlle (even though she's been away), Angeline and Catalina/Francisco.

Perdita

Edited: to add Svenskaflicka, only a slip of memory.

Lit is big. There are many forums here I never frequent, with regulars that are probably gurus in their own right there. (For instance, who's Catalina/Francisco that Perdita mentioned? I have no idea.)

I also think that being a guru is one rather particular thing. There are many people here that I respect. Some I'd call gurus, who with integrity and knowledge mark their presence. Others I'd instead call muses, whose sheer enhusiasm and energy are their foremost traits. Of course, a guru can be spunky and a muse can be wise too, but those are the primary way I see them.

Examples of Gurus in my hood (foremost AH and the poetry board):
Doc M, Lauren Hynde, Colly, Og, WickedEve...

And muses:
Lou, Sweetnpetite, pop, Echoes, shereads, sweetssubsarahh...

There are more to add to those two lists.

L., Catalina/Francisco are BDSM board gurus (I think a forum monitor too), but they've posted on the AH enough so I thought many people would recognize them. Angeline is a poet persona but she posts here too. Of those not-so-regular AH posters I wanted to mention them, all three very guru-ish. P.

Oh I know Angeline. Definitely should have been on my Guru list. :)

Damn and bugger it! I knew I'd forget someone. Rumple Foreskin HAS to be on my list.

Lou :rose:

P.S. While I greatly appreciate the mentions here, I must admit that I find it highly amusing to be considered a "Guru". Going by my own personal criteria, I fall way short of the mark. Thanks, though!

Uh, Loulou, remember NaNoWriMo? If not before, you qualified after that. You might rate as the biggest flirt on Lit. :) , but you have given a wealth of advice on a myriad of subjects here.

your disciple, Perdita :rose:

If you aren't a guru, then I darn sure don't qualify :)

Thank you!!!

But, I must point out: as the biggest flirt, that also kinda qualifies me as one of the biggest cheerleaders. Nothing more, nothing less (plus, I'm good at blagging my way through stuff I know absolutely nothing about).

Your student,

Lou :rose:

Ok, enough kissy-huggy stuff. It's settled. Loulou and Colly are gurus.

Perdita

I'm very close to Liar in that there are those who dispense wisdom, freely and generously, and those that keep my spirits up every single time I'm here. Gurus and Muses is accurate, in my eyes.

Gurus: Colly (how could you not be on here, girl?), Og, Perdita, Gauche, Dr. Mab, Rumple, Lou, Raphy

Muses: Abstruse, Lucky, Sweetsubsarahh, Vella, Honey, Minsue, etc. (it wouldn't be the same without y'all)

NaNoWriMo qualified Lou for an eternal place in the Über-muse Fall Of Fame. I'm so on if we do that this year again.

Just wanted to say that.

Thank you, and you gotta believe that it was all my pleasure. And, it will be again this year - you can count on it!

Also, I must agree with yours and Cloudy's lists for muses. And, I must add your two names to that list.

Plus, I cannot forget to add, for my own personal reasons, my very special personal guru and muse: Lew.

Thanks, sweetie.

~Cloudy - quite happy to be a muse.

PS: yep, Liar needs to be on my list of muses, as well.

Muse, Guru, whatever...

I'm not sure about this sort of listing.

Those omitted can feel hurt.

Names not mentioned so far who have helped others significantly:

Svenskaflicka for competition cheerleading; "The Worst Chain Story.." and other contributions.

MathGirl for 'The Question', unparallelled invective, sheep, four foot BMs and the incomparable DurtGurl consortium.

And both of them for general contributions although for different reasons they have been less prominent recently.

The Snippetsville group.

There are others who deserve recognition but any list is divisive.

Long dead Og
