It seems I'm on the wrong site for my writing. So I was wondering if there are any sites whose main erotica focus isn't incest? And also has volunteer editors.

Incest is the most read category here, but the site has a lot of well read categories.

there are people who will help you edit here, but you need to ask on the forums, the volunteer editor service here has been badly broken for a long time.

But if you want to look around that's up to you, but I don't know that its ethical to mention other sites on the forum.

There is a story site on the net run by a guy named Lazeez that has many categories, a screwed up voting system designed to pull all scores to the middle, volunteer editors, a looser restriction on age and enjoyment issues, and other differences.

Several sites, with big followings, that cater to rape stories, and host of other writing sites out there. Sex based stories, general audience sites, and tons of crap sites to cater to every fetish known to man, and few that are unknown. I won't post links here. But if you PM me, or use the contact on my profile I'd share them with you.

I think, from what I've seen on my own stories, loving wife has the most followers, though they aren't the kindest people on the net.

Whilst incest is the biggest single category (25% of stories, something of that order) it's not the only category. Submit stories into the other categories and you'll still get plenty of readers - do the maths, there's still the other 75%.

Lit also has a community of volunteer editors. Have you in fact checked out the whole site?

What exactly makes you think you're in the wrong place?

Incest is the most popular category, but if you put aside Incest you'll see that other categories of stories at Literotica probably get more readers than they do at other Sites. The readership here is huge and varied. There are plenty of authors who help other authors edit their stories, or do beta readings for them. You just have to hang around and establish contacts with them.

I published a story about anal sex a few days ago and it has over 15,000 views already. I can't think of any other Sites off the top of my head where I'd do better than that.

I agree with you, this is the largest site for Erotic Writing out there. Most of the readers, are wonderful folks, and only vocal handful are jerks.

Why is The Devil is in the Details in Erotic Couplings? It's a perfect fit for NonHuman. It doesn't have the horror element for Erotic Horror but for NonHuman, perfect. In NonHuman it would be a bigger fish in a smaller pond, the category gets fewer submissions than Erotic Coupling, which is a catch-all category.

In addition, the specific readership for NonHuman is looking for succubusses (succubi?) and angels and demons and so on. It's an enjoyable little tale too. The generic readership of EC is much harder to judge.

I've never published in I/T, nor do I have plans to. I take that into account with my expectations. But, the categories exist for a reason. You only have four posted stories, three of them in EC, and IMHO the above one at least shouldn't be there.

PM me and I can tell you about two other sites I am on. I always will be on Literotica, but three sites are enough for me. It's interesting to mix things up, however. Each site has its own personality and its own rules. I'd have to check on the volunteer editor issue because I've never used one.

And the link in your sig doesn't go to your list of stories, what you used will take everyone to there own dashboard. So you might want to change it to this ... https://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=5544026&page=submissions

And there are a lot of categories here. So, you're not into incest, write loving wives or Sci-Fi, I hear tentacle sex is very popular over there. Or you could write in Fetish, etc.

And your not doing to bad, 4 stories and two of the with read H's.

I still want to know where the OP came up with that. What is that opinion based on?

The numbers. Incest isn't the "main focus" of the Site, but it's by far the most popular category of stories. Incest stories receive far more views than any other type of story at Literotica. It's not close.

I've always found that strange, but other people's fetishes and predilections usually do seem that way. One's own tastes are merely "kinky." Say, BDSM is incomprehensible to some people; others think it's so common that it barely qualifies as a fetish. Before Internet porn, it was difficult to know exactly what people out there were thinking.

I only find incest interesting when it's not with a blood relative - e.g., a stepparent or sibling, the spouse of an aunt or uncle. Yet it wasn't until I got to Literotica that I found out how popular true incest is. But the "ick" factor is too much for me.

Start at asstr.org. Work your way through that.

I like Kristen Archive. But the most read stories there are incest too.

As you sift through there are other sites and links to many more.

None have a bulletin board any where near what you can find here.

After that, I am not sure smashwords has editors or not.

Sort of interesting timing on this article. Not sure where else to put it:

https://www.newsweek.com/chris-chan...on-it-crime-between-adults-all-states-1615504

Something that's been talked about here and often enters my head when trying to figure out if a story could even be feasible or not.

This Chris Chan thing would make a great satirical story on Lit or elsewhere, but it's all true! I wish I could be an Internet personality. It looks easier than driving a cab or hanging drywall.

"Chan is best known for the Sonic the Hedgehog and Pokemon comic cross-over character Sonichu, which has been the subject of numerous artworks since 2004. She also created the character of Rosechu, Sonichu's love interest in the series."

"I am Mrs. Christine W. Chandler Sonichu, Goddess of the Nations of Cwcville, Comma, and the Commodore Consoles, and the Creator of Sonichu and Rosechu. She/Her." Isn't that a bit childish, even for a 39-year-old autistic transgender person?

I blame Chan's huge army of followers, who don't have the excuse of being disabled. (Chan collects disability payments, apparently.) What are all of those people thinking?

Incest in general is a trigger for me. I don't believe in happy incest. However, I'm fully able to write about incest and make it happy, consensual or the other way. My birth father taught me about forced incest and a big reason I spent all those years so fucking screwed up.

Even so, I can write the happy unrealistic shit for others to enjoy.

I think its a bit of snark/exaggeration...you know, sarcasm?

You're so obtuse sometimes you remind of Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy, the guy who only speaks literally and doesn't understand metaphors.

As someone who's never written a porn story without "happy incest" in it, somewhere, let me just say...

I don't believe in it, either.

If you look hard enough online (and by look hard enough, I mean spend forty-seven seconds Googling) you can find anecdotal stories of adult incestuous couples apparently being satisfied with their relationships. But evidence other than such self-presentation is scant, and we all know how honest people can be about their awesome lives online.

And those stories aren't characteristic. Incest involves physical and emotional abuse, betrayal of trust, bullying, inequality of power, shame. And all of that, before getting to the really icky and awful parts.

I have my own ideas about what makes the sexual fantasy of the practice so appealing to so many people, what the components of it are. I don't think many people who get off on it really want to practice it or would be comfortable with someone who did.

But I admit that the evidence of reader feedback does not really support my opinions on the subject all that well.:(

Has anyone else noticed the trend of OP's posting quarries on the site only to disappear and never again be heard from? There are at least two current threads where a poster ask for help with this thing or that, and never answers questions put them, never thanks anyone, and never say, sorry I fingered her out on my own. I mean figured it out on my own.

I don't think 95 percent of those that have been on the receiving end of incest would disagree with us this issue.

There is something totally awful about a father who forces himself on his "little girl." My birth father died a few years ago, my birth mother, (who I made the mistake of trying to reconcile with) urged me to go visit my father's grave and admit to him I was sorry for running away. Well, I didn't. I didn't even go piss or shit on his grave. Jo and I left and returned home. I called my Father, the one that has been my real father, and thanked him and mum for loving me when I was broke person. For all their work in repairing me.

It's nothing new. A lot of people seem to have one thing to say or one thing to ask, and no interest in social exchange.

There are also people who lurk on the forum and rarely or never get around to posting a thought.

I suppose it better than lurking around the forum and never possessing a thought! ;)
