Lit Test

Okay, does anyone know why lit blocks the numbers 6 5 3 if you post them together without whitespace between 'em?

They're supposed to stand for something... Don't remember what. Something forbidden. I think we had a discussion about this earlier, in the Awards & Contests Forum.

Raphy,

It also blocks the year nineteen hundred and seventeen written in numerals replacing the last two digits with asterisks - don't ask how I know this!

Will's

Oh dear

Come on wills you know nothing under '18' gets accepted:D

Raphy mate, I aint got a 'fucking' clue, strange though it leaves 'that' word in doesn't it.

On further examination of Lauren's post (I hit the 'quote' button), I can see how you get past it ... Very slick, Lauren :)

p.s. Oh, and 'flicka, I had a look through that forum, but couldn't find that thread... I'm very interested in *why* it does it.

Raph, curious like that.

Thanks. It works with links too. ;)

It's a programing glitch in the board's logarithm. Beyond the realm of understanding.

It's to prevent a certain troll from posting a telephone number all over the board day in and day out. Certains strings of characters have been locked out and since those characters don't come up very often anyway, it's usually not a problem. Usually.

***?

that's curious but you could just type six five three.

anywho are those the only three digits (well seven if you include the nineteen seventeen bit) that are blocked?

Ok, maybe beyond the realm of understanding was a bit too much. :-D

Happens quite a lot (well, sometimes) at the poetry board, where loads of links with strings of numbers are posted everyday.

Ah, thank you, Muffie.

I had figured it was for some reason or other like that. Thanks for the info =)

And yeah Lauren - It was to do with a link I was trying to post that kept coming up with the *** because it had 653 in the id number.

Thanks!

I found three combinations of digits that are blocked. 6-5-3, 9-1-7, and another four-digit string that in light of KM's post, there's no need to talk about. ;)

Dear LH,
That was very tricky, using abracadecimal to get around the block. Impressive.

Ps. Once again, I'm amazed at what this bunch comes up with. Seems like nothing is too arcane to be insoluble. Someday I'm going to ask for a solution to Walter Beagle having bee emms on my hybrid berumda grass.

...and of course I didn't bother to read this thread carefully enough to notice KM's insightful reply...

I overheard a convo on the test your post thread

ie:Normally, I'd suggest copying the image to an attachment, but at the moment, attachments won't work because of a quirk in the Vbulletin software(as Goddessofsouls inadvertantly demonstrated for us):
https://forum.literotica.com/...?postid=***9459 -- the three asterisks should be 6,5,3 but that sequence of digits is not permitted by the VBulletin software (along with the sequence 9,1,7) for some reason.

I'm pretty pc illiterate so maybe this can help: if not go askWeird Harold- he know' everything!

There's no need to go to all that trouble.

The HTML Entity Number for the characters 6 and 9 are 6 and 9

If you want to write 653 or 917, simply type 653 or 917 respectively. ;)

And say abracadabra while hitting the submit button.

Thank you, Laruren. I will keep that in mind when I want to write an erotic story set at the beginning of the Russian revolution. ;)
