Yes, it's erotic-centric but it's not a porn board and never has been. If you want hard core porn there are ample sites out there to cater to your needs. As a matter of fact if you look around the various forums you'll find surprisingly little content that would actually qualify as porn.
This is especially true of the GB which has always been an unmoderated catchall forum that covered every topic under the Sun. Eclectic and ever changing in content and the cast of characters involved.
And it appears that if certain people have their way that will change and the GB is destined to be just another Playground. I would suggest that if you want to get rid of the never-ending C&P threads you might consider moving those serial picture threads to their own little niche. While pleasing to peruse at times, they contribute 0 to the GB or it's original intent. Why not start a "Food Forum?" Or moving those "How deep is your pussy/big is your dick?" threads that seem to pop up with every noob to the PG?
I suppose that those that want a separate political forum are of the opinion that taking that step will cause the GB to somehow become a kinder, gentler, forum. It won't, not unless the GB is going to become a moderated forum as well. The GB is inhabited by the crass, the acerbic, the confrontational, the opinionated, the outcasts of every other forum on this site, and that isn't going to change one iota. I'll make damn sure of that if no one else will, but I can assure you that I won't be alone.
Some years ago KillerMuffin wrote a monograph on the subject, perhaps Chey will be kind enough to link it in this thread.
