Does anyone know what I can do to revert to my old email address? I didn't know signing up for this email account changed my current address altogether. I don't want that.

Thanks,
Flirty

In your control file, did you try to edit your profile?

You can type in an alternate email addy.

Hope that helps. If not, Weird Harold will know what to do.

I'm not quite sure what you mean?

Where did signing up for a literotica.org e-mail account change your current e-mail address?

If it's in your literotica profile, just edit your profile back to the e-mail address you want there.

If it's somewhere else, explain and I'll try to point you inthe right direction to change it back there.

Under the Literotica home page, where it says,"Literotica email". Click on the link and fill the info. Then hit update or OK or whatever it says. It makes the changes you've just typed. Then it says, "We have notified your email service. Your new email account is -------@literotica.com

I think you misunderstood the notice -- it didn't change your old e-mail service, it just notified them (probably to expect forwarded e-mails from Literotica.org, which I know is an option offered.)

I've never bothered with a Literotica.org e-mail, so I'm not familar with all of the quirks and kinks. From past discussions and clues in corespondence with Literotica.org addresses, I've gathered that it can redirect incoming e-mails to your normal e-mail account.

If your normal e-mail account is with your ISP -- as most e-mail accounts are -- then Literotica.org CANNOT usurp or change that account as long as you use that ISP; an ISP e-mail account is inextricably linked to your ISP account -- as long as you have a log-in to the ISP, you have an active e-mail account with that ISP because the e-mail address is the account identifier.

In plain English,Harold,if I understand you, what you're saying is, My old account is with pacbell.net so my email address will remain as it is: --------@ pacbell.net? Not -----@ literotica.com?

No, not exactly. BOTH are now your e-mail address.

Just as I have two e-mail addresses -- ******@Intermind.net and *******@Juno.com -- you now have two e-mal addresses ******@Pacbell.net AND ******@ Literotica.org.

The only difference is that Literotica.org has the ability to automatically forward everything to ****@Pacbell.net so you don't have to remember to check both mailboxes. (I only check the Juno address about once a week or if I'm expecting something to that address because I used it for a site registration or gave it to someone using an ISP blocked by Intermind for permitting spamming.)

From the notice you got, you had the auto-forward option checked and Lit notified Pacbell that it wasn't spamming.

If you don't want to give a site or person your Pacbell.net address, give them the Literotica.org address instead -- That's the whole purpose of having an annonymous literotica.org e-mail account; protecting your everyday persona and e-mail.

It's like having two phone numbers.

You still have pacbell and literotica now you have to like i have around 12 email address.

It just gives you another address for people and you can have them forward an email to you to let you know that someone wrote you at the lit. address.

I hope this helps.

Hi SkyBlu,Harold and GDub,

Thank you all very much for your help. It makes sense now. I noticed it says,"Virgin", under my name here in posts. I am guessing this because I have posted so few remarks here yet. Does this ever change due to how many posts I make here, like military ranks?

Thank you again,
Mitch

yep

you get to be 'experienced,' and stuff like that eventually.

after 100 posts, you get to upload an av in your profile.

happy posting!

Oh, Crap! I haven't checked my lit e-mail in two years!
