Typical comeback...no thought, no response, no dialogue. Thanks for the worst example of the Lit "elitism."

*I'm verklemped! :D

This was posted on the third page of a thread about Jewish People ( http://www.literotica.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=108642&highlight=jewish ).

Since my comments have nothing to do with that subject - I'm choosing to bring the issue into its own thread.

Tell me Lost Cause - what and who are the Lit "elite" - is this another - "oh you're all in a clique together and you hate the rest of us" type of comments?

And isn't this type of generalization that just because one might be in this so called "lit elite" that they then, by default, have "no thought, no response, no dialogue?" Isn't that just as bad as disliking someone just because they're a "newbie."

REVERSE DISCRIMINATION! *lol* Maybe we should start quotas here? Anyone who's been around more than a year isn't allowed to post on a thread until someone who's been here less than a year has done so first? And there has to be an equal # of posts for the "over a year" crowd as there is for the "less than a year" crowd?

No - that wouldn't quite do it. Since people who have been here longer have had more of a chance to post I think we should even things out a bit quicker. What about no posts from anyone "over a year" until there are at least 3 posts from those "under a year" - and that we must maintain that 3 to 1 ratio? I'm sure Laurel and Manu can come up with some neat little program to enforce this.

Just a bit of unfinished business from last night that's been eating away at me. Other than that I've actually had a pretty good day.

oh hell and I thought this was a thread about sex. I will fuck you but you must first prove you have a brain.

You is hypothetical Dill, I was really thinking of those pretty but vapid ladies over at the Spearmint Rhino who actually believed my astronaut line

I hate that when that happens.

Love your AV, BTW.

I'm still waiting on the old AV. Until then, I am officially bored.

Not everyone will bother to read what you have to say...and yes, sorry babe...but you do appear to intimidate some with your knowledge.

As for the Lit-elite...that is pure hogwash...I believe, instead, that there are senior members here who deserve some respect as they are the backbone of this little place we call the General Board.

edited...cause the middle section should really go in the buffoon thread.

free discussion is the backbone

I would be curious to know who the elite are supposed to be?

I mean, we all have days where our posts don't get large or meaningful responses.

We all have days where we feel ignored or feel like we dont' fit in.

I say, "Get over it" to anyone who has a problem with Dill et al.

There is far less a hierarchy here than in recent months. Newbies having thousands of posts have done away with that.

We all have our circle of friends, new or old. For most the circle grows and evolves.

Most have a mixed bag of freinds, new posters and old, but those that bitch about lit elitism just don't pay attention because it doesn't feed the bee in their "poor me" bonnet.

I hate it when fish has the backbone. And all those tiny bones that scrach my throat. I really do.

That Fjord inspired, slacktacular intelligence? Yes!

there are a couple senior members who warrant respect, and then there's CDL...

Anyone who doesn't agree with you, and has been here a while, and you can't come up with anything better to say.

*Kicking myself in advance for this...*

Okay, I don't have any problem with the newbie vs. oldie thing. Nor do I see any true elitism, though I think it's there in the eyes of some people.

I do, however, make exception to this idea of automatic respect. When someone comes on as a newbie, they don't know anyone from Adam. They meet people, and if they are a reasonable person, they afford everyone the same amount of respect as any stranger. From there, I get to know you, and that respect level changes based on my interactions with you. I don't give a shit about post totals or registration dates, as I most often don't look at them. I look at who you are. That kind of level of respect must be earned, not afforded to you for seniority. Until you become my boss, seniority doesn't mean much to me...except that you probably know a bit more about this place than I do. And I'll find all that out in time.

Just an opinion from the opinionless...
