I like them. Some people don't.
I think they spark debate, not to mention reflection.
Why am I on this list, you may ask yourself. Or why aren't I.
It's easy for me to talk, because I make most lists, both pro and con.


Why did I post the 'People Whose Posts Don't Interest Me' thread? I guess it deals in part with the backlash against the silly threads. Many people came out against them, and a common theme was 'there are people whose threads I don't even bother to read anymore'.
Who? I wondered.

I also wanted to see who had any stones on the Board by naming names. It's real easy to be vague. I wanted to see who had guts.
You didn't disappoint, Tiggs. You rarely do. I made your list, but you didn't make mine. You probably annoy me with greater frequency than anyone on the Board, but I recognize your importance to the Board. You bring unlimited energy to the Board, and it is greatly appreciated.

As for my 'Board Members I Am Crazy About' thread, I make no apologies for it. I've made some good friends here. I just wanted to thank them.

I had to post to this thread because I applaud your "stones". I stood back at first when I opened your other thread because I expected something else. Then I realized what you were doing and maybe why you were doing it. I did not post on that thread because I am still young and dumb on this BB (I actually give at least one view to all threads).

I think everyone who expresses their feelings on the BB has convictions and that is what makes us (Lit) a mini society. We are not always going to like what someone is doing with a thread and that is OK. You and several others on this BB speak from your gut and I enjoy what you and the others have to say even if I don't agree. So, keep on posting.

I know someone will probably flame me for this but here goes. There are many threads I enjoy reading. But the most entertaining ones for me are the silly threads, kind of like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get (especially if they don't have one of those maps thingies in them).

I happen to be one of those people who love list threads (especially the sex ones ) I didn't happen to post anything on the one about who you DON'T like to read posts from because, to be honest, there really isn't any one person whose posts I WON'T read. Often, I skim titles and only chose the ones I find interesting. Consequently, those posters whose titles aren't accurately reflective of the content inside or those posters with what I would consider lame titles aren't the ones I read.

I also didn't post on the thread about whose posts I like because if I like your post enough to put you on a list, I will whip off an email to you and let you know that I liked the post.
