I love this site , have been enjoying the fantastic stories for some time. However, I have a bone to pick. I can't tell you how many stories I have read that describe taking a woman's virginity and 90% of them mention a 'barrier' a few inches inside that the guy must break/push through whatever.

It's just a small thing but it annoys me. There is nothing a few inches inside a woman, virgin or not. The hymen is right at the entrance and you can see it real easy if it's there. If it is it partially covers the entrance and merely stretches on first penetration to accomodate the size of the penis, some hymenal tissue remains until the woman gives birth vaginally.

I know I can't be the only woman who reads these stories and finds her legs clamping involuntarily at the idea of someone busting through a barrier a few inches inside

Well that explains it right there. men have no idea of size or distance. Guys think 4" is 6", so just at the entrance, is a couple of inches in. That and the fact most guys have never "deflowered" a girl. A locker room knowledge of females is the most some guys have, so really knowing anything about a hymen is a shot in the dark guess.
Ever ask a guy to draw a woman's body and put everything in the right place and proportionate sizes? It'll explain a lot of bad story writing.

A little slice of my life here..

I remember to this day almost 40 years later, what it was like to take a girl's virginity. I was 16 and she was 15, been dating for almost a year and the first girl I think I ever felt a deep love for. The whole experience was almost as painful for me to see the hurt I caused as it was for her. I know now a lot of that hurt would have been erased with some lube or saliva, but the moment wasn't as spectacular as we hoped it would be. It went better afterwards and enjoyed a double de-flowering, protected of course, and had bittersweet memories ever since. I never dated a virgin again.

I'll have to remember this if I ever write a "virgin" story. It's been a very long time since I made love to a virgin. The first was when I was 19 and she was 15. The second I'm still married to.

The first one I wish I could apologize to for being such an ass about the whole thing. But, I was 19. The hymen was the last thing on my mind on both occasions.

The advantage of the internet is that you can get graphic pictures of any part of the anatomy.

When, eons ago, I was consorting with virgins they seemed to know as little about the hymen as I did.
