My own: I'm afraid Trump will do nothing about the debt and may make it worse.
I'm afraid Obamacare will survive.

I am not concerned with anything Chuck Schumer says I should be concerned about, mostly because he's just making stuff up.

Go ahead and list your fears, and we'll reopen the thread in 2018 when Rory returns.

Trump is on TV now. People ought to be getting plenty of ideas now about how Trump is going to be bad.

I fear that the most vociferous of his detractors are going to be thrilled to discover that the Republicans installed an Eastern Liberal in the White House.

My hope is that I'm wrong and their worst fears are realized.

OMG, he's on stage in Indiana and he turned around and grabbed a woman by the hand. Right there on stage.

I can live with a JFK liberal. Like you, I'm afraid he might be a bit left of that. Or a lot left.
We'll see.

Trump will do as the globo elites demand or he will be killed. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. He is clinton but better, because our morons on both sides of the aisle thinks he is worse.

A Republican president pushing a child care plan?
Pure evil. Right, Liberals?

From what I can tell Trump is an anti-free trader. While NAFTA is far from perfect its overall benefit has been good to Canada. We are a trading nation. Our manufacturing and service industries are tiny in comparison to our resource sector. The TPP will benefit Canada so I would hate to see it go out the window.

I have issues with corporations being able to sue countries. Under NAFTA many US companies have court cases going against Canadian trade and economic internal protection policies.

Our banks are some of the biggest and strongest in the world. Primarily due to being heavily regulated. We have 5 big banks. I bet Cali. (a similar sized economy and pop.) has far more.

I would prefer US banks become more regulated not less.

Economic decisions made in the US have a greater impact on our economy than our own decisions.

What is good for the US is good for Canada, generally. But isolationism and protectionism are a double hit to Canada.

Republicans generally go with capitalism and follow the money. Which typically includes free trade deals. Hopefully the Republican controlled Congress can put some reins on Trumps less enlightened policies.

My biggest fear is that he makes he makes Jewish Muslim Crippled Homosexual Transgendered people upset.

Inexperience (like Obama)
Inability to control his emotions.
Pettiness
Inability to focus on the big picture.
Thin-skinned
Lack of experience in foreign policy.
Not selecting a good enough support staff.
I can't believe he's President.

My biggest fear is that he is assassinated and becomes a hero/martyr to the people
who voted for him, further eroding the value of civility and logic in the U.S.

And don't get even me started on his successor.

I agree, I am worried about inflation and runaway government spending combined with radical tax cuts. We tried this with Reagan, over the long term its not good policy. Trump seems to want Reaganomics on steroids.
