I'm trying to see if I can watch 365 movies this year.

This should give you an idea of the exciting life I lead. Save your comments, buttholes.

Concussion
Trainwreck
The Hateful Eight
The Revenant
The Walk
Captive
45 Years
Entourage
Southpaw
Creed
A Walk in the Woods
Sisters
The Diary of a Teenage Girl
Black Mass
Straight Outta Compton
The Grand Budapest Hotel
Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs (The man in the machine)
The Benefactor
Spectre
The Martian
The Intern
Spotlight
A Girl Like Her
Room
Joy
Burnt

Out of all of these, thus far, I think my favorite might have been Room.
Least favorite would probably be either Joy, Burnt, or The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Anyone have any good movies I can watch from 2014, 2015, or 2016?

Thanks.

So, if you miss a day or two to watch a movie for whatever reason, will you do a 2-3 consecutive flick watching during one day to catch up?

Admirable goal. I could do this myself, but I also like re-watching favorites, which throws its integral point of watching only new movies off kilter.

I am not sure I watched any this year or last year.
Decompressing from watching with Byron I suppose.

Wait... I saw The Imitation Game last year I think.

Spy, is funny.

I liked The Martian, 13 Hours, Finest Hours, Revenant, The Heart of the Sea.

The Walk guy, was weird.

The Man from Uncle...quirky.

Transporter 2...eh.

Shades of Black parody, with that Wayans guy looks funny.

Hail, Caeser! looks like Hollywood patting itself on the back.

I like parodies when they're sharp...that one got eviscerated on IMDB — even in the user ratings — and I can't take a chance with regular NY movie tariffs being basically five bucks shy of a whole Andrew Jackson. I know it'll be good for basic laughs, but think I'll wait for home release.

I do like Coen Bros. fare, but yeah, that Caesar one is not really intriguing me all that much. My co-worker is raving to go see it, though.

Oh yes, parodies are most def for home viewing...freeish on HBO or something.

Saw the Finest Hours this afternoon. Good scenery, but the girlfriend character was super annoying to me. She needed to be tossed in the harbor.

Rarely anymore do I go to anything but a matinee, because of the jacked up prices.

Also, I laughed way too much at Sisters. All by myself while the family went to see Star Wars, I just couldn't start watching at movie #7.

Kung Fu Panda 3 is getting good reviews, think that might be my next 3D watch. I laughed my ass off watching the first one and the second was only slightly less on the laff-o-meter, in my opinion.

Oh, definitely catch up with 1-6 before you see Episode 7. But don't wait too long! Seeing it on the big screen first is a must. I want to see it again just to catch things I might've missed and all that, but having seen it large already, I can wait for it to come home just fine. ;)

Sisters I might catch, too. I can dig some raunch, heard it was good like that! :D

I have a 10x8 screen and projector in the basement and all 6 movies, and still can't make myself do so. I can't make it through 15 mins before I'm snoozing. Mouth open. :D

That's soooooo baaaaad. Ha ha ha! I know they're basic as fuck, but ya gotta do it! If I had that set up I'd be doing pizza and beer movie jams every week! ;)

I'm pretty sure I won't be able to watch that many movies. It looks like I'm already behind about three days, and that's with me really focusing on movie-watching. That'll probably fade in the coming weeks/months.

Good list! I appreciate the feedback.

I know that The Revenant is up for just about every award, and everyone seemed to love it, but I didn't find it that great. I liked The Martian. And The Walk was weird, but I enjoyed it. Those are the only movies of yours that I've seen.

I think I'm going to watch Whiplash next.

The Coens are veeeery hit and miss. About 75% hit and then The Ladykillers.

I wasn't impressed with The Revenant either and I have a lot of time for Leonardo di Caprio. The scenery was impressive in its gray, cold whiteness, but that was all, for me.

Room was very good, With a smart script and fantastic acting and is one of those movies that keeps popping back into my mind.
Another thought provoking movie is Rudderless. I'm really impressed with how William H. Macy dealt with such a difficult subject.

Whiplash has great acting with an intense pace, but in the end, I think it lost sight of what the message was.

I just...can't. :-/

I also saw Budapest, early last year upon recommendation. It was weird and quirky.

And Concussion. Interesting story, but sort of boring character. Wife was even more boring filler.

I didn't dislike The Walk, the dude was a little annoying at times, but much awe for what he accomplished.

See Spy! You'll laugh.

Oh, Sicario. Right up my alley in the violence dept. Good acting. Usually I don't do fluffy movies, so Sisters was a nice surprise.

Also, Daddy something or other with Mark Wahlberg and Will Farrell. Meh. Wait for it to be free.

Btw...glad to see you back after hard time in the clink. ;)

I rarely go to movies-or even watch TV other than football and one or two netflix series.

I'm just glad that abomination 50 shades didn't show up on your list:rolleyes:

I saw
Antman
Creed

and....I really think that was it.

Is Creed worth the time and ticket? I've heard vauge buzz that it's good.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens
Creed
Goosebumps ( That was such a terrible movie )

Its like the other Rocky films, its basically an implausible under dog story with some cheesy drama and a feel good ending.

Its entertaining, I enjoyed it, but as a 'for what it is' if you're expecting high drama and award wining performances, its not that. Its just kind of campy fun.

Ive watched recently:

Infinitely Polar Bear -loved it
The End of the Tour - loved it
Jurrasic World - meh
Mr. Holmes - slow paced but very good
Southpaw - another typical boxing movie but I liked it
Slow Learners - thought it was super funny and thoroughly enjoyed it
Whiplash, which I had to turn off before it finished.
Spy - hilarious
Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl - sweet, teenage coming of age story, very Jon Greene-esque
Train wreck - meh
Inside Out - fabulous, I've seen it a couple of times now

I really loved The Grand Budapest Hotel, but I know it's one of those love it or hate it kind of movies.

I misunderstood and thought it was just about going out to the movies.

I saw Inside out and thought it was hilarious.

I also watched Hotel Transylvania and thought that was pretty funny as well. I watch these under the guise of my grandson wanted to see them and I don't want him to have to watch them alone.:D

Oh yeah, and watch Guardians of the Galaxy if you haven't yet.
