Just been reading some of the poems posted over the past few days. Some goodies, notably from Tristesse, Butters, Green Mountaineer and others.

Then meandering into the board I noticed something - not all poets put a link in their sig line to their Lit poems. Well I noticed the Green Mountain man didn't then looked around for a few more. Bogus, Bronze (I think) and 1201 don't either. There are others.

So this is a request to put in a link because the comments made often encourage (me at least) to go and see how the commenter handled whatever issue is being discussed.

first, I'm glad to see you poking around.
second, huh? if you really want, you can get to my stuff from the comments in new poems
three, I tend to piss people off, the people who read my comments in new poems have a right to see who I am, where I am coming from, here too many are goofing off, let them at least do the work of going over to new poems or responding directly to anything I might have said
how have you been?

I'd be happy to do it, ishtat, if it makes things easier, but I'm not sure how to do it. Help from anyone in that regard would be appreciated.

The link at the bottom of my sig will take one to a library of all my posted poetry, many more than are posted on Lit.

Open your "author's page" in another window and copy the URL in the address bar.
Go to User CP, in the top bar.
Go to Edit Signature.
Paste the URL and highlight it.
Click on the Insert link Icon(globe and chain)
Click Save Signature and you're done.

This is the same procedure for linking to a single poem.

look ash. we germans (aryans (sic)) gave that up a long time ago, it's a very bad habit to get into. worse than smoking.

sig line
see bad shit, the translation is off, here is the correct one:
All flat screens are 50% off, the line is over there.
and then some small print

now, ish, whatever issue do YOU want do discuss?

You do see what I mean, don't you ish?
Let them fucking head over there in NP, I'm easy enough to find, if the anon can find me and these people here are a little smarter.

I can see what 1201's getting at . He's suggesting that it would be best if more people, especially lazy sods like me made more comments on poems. He's right and I'll try to lift my game a bit.

I still think a link in a sig line is useful for two reasons. Obviously it enables the showcasing of a poets work so gives a return to contributing posters. Less obviously if the work is available via the sig line it's much easier to compare a poster's comments on the Board with what they do themselves in their own writing -- easier to switch back and forth. Sneaky eh' but useful!

true but also, it gives the fly thoughs easier strafing, as happened sometime with in the past two years.

Isn't 1201 the poetry thread's resident contrarian?

He's such a grump I'm starting to believe he's a Yorkshireman.

Yep. Apparently had the hump, quite literally.

As a honourable grump, he did ban restrictions on the printing of books and translated laws into English. As is usual with grumps, they are more enlightened than those who care about image. Through his death the Tudor Mafia delayed the flowering of freedom and in England.

To be sung in 'onour of grumps!

Wheear 'ast tha bin sin' ah saw thee, ah saw thee?

On Ilkla Mooar baht 'at

BTW
You've done admirably. Just sayin'. You would think comments and poetry over there and how wonderful is seems to tie together. True, you don't get the "Here I am effect" that you would get from posts in Poetry Fuckoffery and Dissin'. I do my time, don't I?

I tell you woman, I saw the sign, right now I laghing so hard it is impossibel to type, and choking too. Damn you, you are hazadous to my health. 'ave to run out for beer and butts. I suffer from vitamin B deficiency. Right now I'm drinking Blackout Stout - A Handcrafted Imperial Stout from Cleveland, Ohio.
Cleveland, WTF. Imperial. Something wrong with this picture.
