I've been wondering for a while now, is it possible to include links to your other stories (elsewhere on Lit, I mean) within a posted story? And if so, how? When I post a story that reprises characters from an earlier one but has a different title, it'd be nice to be able to note that "this is a sequel to this other story" with a direct link. I know you could also just change the title of one or the other story so that they line up next to one another, but I'd rather do it this way if it's possible.

If your stories are chapters, then a link to the other chapters appears by the side of each of them. So readers can quickly go to the next chapter as soon as they've finished, and can also see all the stories in the series which you've posted.

I'm not quite sure if there's another way of showing if you have a set of stories which you haven't made plain are chapters. I have some fantasy stories which are spin-offs of my overly long novels on here, and they just list separately. However I know that people who are interested in them follow up the others, because they leave me comments about the 'world' my fantasy characters live in.

:)

I don't know about posting links, but you can have a note at the beginning of the story that references the other(s), to let the reader know that there are more.

You could try putting the link there, but Laurel might remove it prior to posting the story.

I have never tried it.

I've seen links to other stories in a story before. I've never tried it myself.

Yes, you can link to stories, threads, bios, and such on Lit.

Naturally, you'll want to point out the link in the "notes" section of the submission.
