Limeys Are Evil

Evil?

They have raised over one million pounds for the child's treatment in the US but no treatment has ever worked for this condition. The Great Ormond Street Hospital is the best in the UK and they have done all they could.

What doctors in the US have offered is treatment that hasn't yet worked.

The court decision, which has been appealed unsuccessfully, is to let the child die in peace without putting him through invasive procedures that have a 100% failure rate so far.

The US doctors are offering false hope.

Was your health care system going to pay for it?

Because I know that Americans would have paid for it.

We love a good story like this one and would have rallied to the cause.

So what if it has not worked before, as a parent, would you not want to exhaust every opportunity?

We have several hospitals in the US that rely upon charity that take on these tough cases and charge the family nothing and even offer them lodging and meals...

Who is so callous as to not give hope a chance?

I mean, look how long we clung to Terri Schiavo. Would y'all have done that?

We are Gods master race of choice. You can all argue your theological points all you want.

your opinions are of no merit.

The treatment so far has been on the National Health Service. The treatment in the US would have been paid for by money raised in the UK.

The court(s) decided that it was not in the child's best interest to travel to the US for a treatment that would not provide any improved quality of life or any extended life expectancy and would cause severe distress to the child.

There is such a thing as false hope.

Terri Schiavo? Yes. We have such cases - treated by the National Health Service and/or Hospice Care (at no cost to the patient or family).

Sorry. You're wrong. The NHS does not pay for sex changes. You'll have to pay for your own castration.

How horrible...

How discriminatory...

I mean, y'all have a lot to answer for when it comes to healthcare choices and basic human rights...

;) ;)
