What the hell causes these nasty little red bumps on my ass???

I've ruled out mosguito bites, scabies, and herpes. Not crabs either ... altho I did eat a whole mess of 'em Sunday. Could it be the clothes detergent ... gain versus tide? Or maybe fabric ... cotton or silk?

I certainly don't sit on my ass too much!

My T wanted me to turn over last night but I was extremely self conscious ... he enjoyed an awesome blow job instead.

What can I do? Anyone else ever experienced this? Alcohol, Witchhazel, Alph-Hydroxy whatchacallit ???

Help!

ask a doctor or a dermatologist. Phisophex (sp ?) but I think you need a script for it.

Lil Red Ass Bump was the original title of Prince's Lil Red Corvette. He had to change it because it wouldn't get any radio play. True story.

That is very strange considering the lyrics have to do with a car (and sex of course):

"I guess I shoulda known
By the way u parked your car sideways
That it wouldn’t last
(snip)
Little red corvette
Baby you’re much 2 fast
Little red corvette
U need a love that’s gonna last
(snip)
Move over baby (move over baby)
Gimme the keys (gimme the keys)
I’m gonna try 2 tame your little red love machine
(I’m gonna try 2 tame your little red love machine)
(snip)
Little red corvette
Honey u got 2 slow down (got 2 slow down)
Little red corvette
’cuz if u don’t u gonna run your
Little red corvette right in the ground
(snip)
Girl, u got an ass like I never seen
And the ride...
I say the ride is so smooth
U must be a limousine"
from Little Red Corvette-Prince 1999

And for Prince to change a song to get radio play, a man who changed his name to an unpronouncable symbol and appeared in public with the word slave written across his face ? I mean yes, I have seen him in normal clothes, no make up just jeans and a tshirt but I suspect that is as conformist as he gets.

Ummm....yeah. And I have absolutely no fucking CLUE what causes it, but I have learned a way to prevent it.

Every single day in the shower, I use a loofah sponge on that area. One of the really stiff ones, that doesn't give much? I use that along with a really good exfoliating cream, and then I use lotion when I get out of the shower. After a few weeks of that, the little bumps cleared up. But if I stop doing it for a few days, they come back.

I hope that helps you...

If they look like pimples, they are, but they call them boils, don't know why. I get them every once in a while, but usually when I'm getting my period. I scrub also and that tends to take care of it.

I have those on my upper arms and it's basically just dry skin...I attack them with a loofah in the shower and some lotion afterwards and I'm smooth as a baby's bottom.:p

It's called Keratosis Pilaris ...IT's basically a keratin build up in the skin in certain areas of the body , it builds up making the skin bumpy and rough . Exfoliate , exfoliate , exfoliate . And in almost all cases being in the sun helps lessen it . And yes you have to keep after it or they do come back.
Emer ,
do you tan in the nude?;)

Hopes this helps . You can find this in any medical dermatology book. It's not easy to be rid of . But scrub and moisturize and get some sun ;) and all may be well. Not sure if all of it will go away though . They haven't found a complete cure to be rid of it.

It doesn't go away, but it can get better.

Amlactin 12% get it at walgreens, ask the pharmacist. it is not prescription anymore but it is still kept behind the counter so you have to ask. It is a thin moisturizing lotion with lactic acid, an alpha hydrox with is also a humectant. you should use it twice a day. A little bit goes a long way. It really works on winter dried skin on hands too.

LOL !!! I had no idea! I've been married to a musician for the last 20 something years so maybe that little factoid was buried way deep.

Thanks Sheath ... for the reply and for knowing that it's not just me. I almost went back and deleted the whole thing 'cause I didn't want you guys to think I was being flip.

The loofah I have, usually just use it on the shaved area above the pubic bone to prevent ingrown hair. What kind of exfoliating creme do you use?

Well Jen, they don't look like pimples. Just red very slightly raised spots ... different sizes. Bared my ass to another nurse friend and doctor friend who assured me that they aren't contagious. There may be a connection to the period (still get the occas zit on my face at that time)

As a nurse I've seen lots of pimply asses. Cute asses too but seems I'm always too busy to appreciate them.

Thanks,

Thank you too MistressRain ... And, well, no, I never tan in the nude ... beach time is kid time. Occassionally the top may come off in the boat or on a secluded island but my ass is as white as it was 40 years ago (except for the bumpy red parts).

T. wants to take me fishing Sunday. Offshore, no one around for miles. Maybe I can get some sun if I can be brave enough.

Thanks!

This was truly a serious question! Thanks to all who answered. I can give my best friends the total lowdown of all sorts of weird sex stuff but for some reason I felt a little shy about this. Another reason I like this board.

So ... loofah ... exfoliate ... lotion (one of the good friends is a pharmacist) .... and apply Blessed Sunshine!

see ya on the beach,
emer

(crap ... does this mean I have to buy one of those dental floss thongs ... god I hate those things!)

Ok Jen,

it's two seconds until 0300 ... why aren't you in bed yet?

emer

LOL ... what a scene that would be ... me strolling down the dock with just a t-shirt on.
