define 'old'

So old they're not in my "Bible"! Pre Casablanca.

No recognised faces. Not even good movies - jut great scores.

Wasn't the "Subterraneans" from the sixities.

I've watched it a few times and I never could get it.
Is this the movie w/ Mardoo (or a girl with a name something like that)?

I didn't even know there was a soundtrack.
What types of songs are on it?

pre-Casablanca, you say?

Where'd you find these movies?

I didn't.....I found LPs of the soundtracks :D

Mona......it's jazz. Miles Davies is on the Sub score. Gerry Mulligan and other on L.t.t.S

Subterraneans sounds sixties-ish. It conjures up images of a low budget, sci-fi flick with a commune of dazed groupies. GP, what's the story line? Can you humm a few bars and see if we can get a handle on this?:D

Was it sci-fi?
It was a commune of disfunctional hippie-like characters who this failed writer guy happens to stumble upon.
Definitely low-budget.

I like jazz.
GP, post some song titles please.

Yes, GP, song titles, por favor.

the sci-fi was just me hallucinating:cool:

Very Hippie not sci-fi. I never saw Subterraneans.
The music is moody jazz, I first heard it in FRance and it haunted me for years. A B/F found an almost mint condition LP.
Very expensive because it was a collector's item.

Lift to the Scaffold was originally French. I caught it on late night TV a few years ago.

Only one song in Subs - "Coffee Time". Other numbers Guido's black hawk, A rose and the end, Look Ma, no clothes, Like blue,

Sorry, I;m not much help.

It's a good start.
I'll look for it (the soundtrack).

I'm sure there must be a few more floating out there on eBay.
