Do not go to the grocery store when hungry or stressed...

What did PacificBlue buy tonight you ask that she didn't need...

2 Magazines, Cost $7.98
Donuts, $3.00 (An entire dozen of which I'll probably eat 2)
Cookies, $2.78 (I'll freeze these)

Total Frivilous expenditures $13.76

In my own defense, I did purchase low-fat yogurt and lettuce. :)

Am I the only one who does this???

Please send the other ten doughnuts

All I had to keep me company on a long shift at work tonight was the coffeepot. I like coffee. A lot. I had too much though. A lot.

Doughnuts. Please.

LOL

:D

It's got to the stage with me that I'm scared to go to the supermarket.

I know what I intend buying but usually come out with half a dozen extra things I don't need.

:D

What fun is shopping... if you don't buy shit you don't need? :D

I went grocery shopping today.. spent $300 and I have NO IDEA what i bought..

i've done that before... but i usually go wild buying things like soup and ice cream... and then i'll usually head for the caramel and whipped cream.. and then to the cereal isle where i get lots of cereal.. and of course, while i'm in the checkout line, i get my mom a chocolate bar of some kind so she wont flip out about everything i got

and by the time i'm all done getting everything, my mom sees all that i got for her and she's ready to kill me cuz of everything extra i got.. but i have to please the kids in the house (me and my nephew) so we have to have the ice cream.. the caramel and whipped cream is just for kicks

i do the same thing PacificBlue... i think my problem might be that i put off grocery shopping until i have absolutely nothing left in the fridge *and* i'm starving. so then i'm hungry and i'm annoyed at having to "waste" time at the store. :) *sigh* oh the silly things i do to myself. i wonder if i'll ever learn

I don't think they are going to make it to where you are before they go stale but the thought is there.

I agree that sometimes it's fun to just blow the money and shop till you drop. I'm living on a budget that I worked pretty hard on so I need to not do things like this. It's my future house that suffers the consequences and my retirement. Ah well...what's done is done for tonight.

BTW - the two donuts I ate were pretty darn good. YUM! :)

Thank you, PB

I will make do with the thought in that case... but I have the strangest urge to run to the store and buy whipped cream. I am pretty sure I had too much coffee tonight. Yep.

Yep. Yep. Pretty sure.

Now you have hurt my feelings. You said my pics would keep you company at work. My buns are much better tasting than doughnuts. :p

umm....

Your pics kept me hurrying at work, and wishing very fervently not to be there... but as they reminded me you were NOT there the plan didn't really quite work to "keep me company."

:) You did not ask. I am not a mind reader or I would be making money like Ms. Cleo on the 900 lines. Anyway, I do not know where your work is. However, it would not be considered work if I were there. ;)

so true, Miss PowerofCleo

Like a fool I seem to have asked for doughnuts. Obviously a planning problem on my part. Perhaps we can shop for some whipped cream together and overcome this unfortunate situation.

Be careful what you wish for, you just may get it. In this case, the doughnuts were an unfortunate waste of a wish. ~laughing~

Sounds like me whenever I've a lot of money to spend and I'm let loose into a hobby shop. "When the fuck did I buy this?" is what's often heard after I go home and look through what I purchased.

Always eat before you go grocery shopping. I tend to buy stuff I dont need if I dont because I am starved!! Half the stuff I dont need stays in the cabinets for long periods of time!

I too am on a tight budget. I try to do the following:

1. Never go grocery shopping when I am hungry
2. Make a list and stick to it
3. Unfortunately, use coupons<I hate clipping them>

PB...I buy cinamon rolls not donuts. My one was excellent!

Ok, on the plus side, at least you know you will only eat maybe 2 of those doughnuts. If I had a dozen in my house right now... Goodbye Doughnuts! Hello weight!

-shudders- Now they sound good, and I JUST had food!

You can't take them back

so spoil yourself and eat the doughnuts
