The rains have finally ended, two month's worth. The cold winter has continued as a cool spring, I see rabbits playing in the yard, the hammocks are out, we even napped yesterday, and I grilled T-bones for supper. The yard (grounds, gardens, whatever) are awash in color, changing from the yellows and purples of early spring to the whites of wild roses and hawthorn to the deep reds and other variations of roses and clematis. Day lilies and tiger lilies are budding preparing to bloom and the hostas are bigger than ever before showing the promise of summer blooms to come.

Today, I have to choose, grill burritos or pork butts. I'll dwell on that pressing issue as we do our schoolwork out on the deck and listen to running water and the songbirds who congregate at our feeders...

A_J, livin' large! It's good to be me.

PS - Go gay Elvis!

I make good ones...

Cream cheese?

I have home-grown lettuce and fresh vidalia and 'maters for salad.

Won't the bacon attract dirt and flies as she works?

I'd advise her to wear a smock, or a Snuggie...

Do they have a short-sleeved version for summer wear?

"It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, it's beautiful day in the......"
and go with the burritos, one way or the other.

So do pork butts...

Sounds so sexy! I like big butts and I can't deny...

Cut them square and invite the Kingons from next door maybe.

Climate change! GHG!

Animal cruelty! Red meat is carcinogenic!

Invasive species made possible by nitrate fertilizers!

Undermining our public schools (and unions) by opting out, eh? Do you really think the state standards of learning will cover running water or birds?

:D

The Piggly Wiggly here had a Mother's Day special of fillet mignon for 6.99 lb.

I shall grill them watching the wife do wife yard stuff this evening with a light rub whilst wrapped in bacon. The meat of course.

Do the pork.

I have a whole lot of PMA going right now.

Glad to here the midwest does too.

Piggly Wiggly - best meat in town.

Tell your wife to be careful with that chainsaw.

I am the worst sort o'radical...

In my will, it states explicitly to change my party affiliation to Democrat so I can keep on voting and receiving stimulus checks!

Positive Mental Attitude.

My wife said I'm allowed to look below your neckline if that top were to fall off.

She did.:)

I'm glad you were given permission.

Where would us poor exhibitionists be if there was no one there to look? It's sort of the "if a tree falls in the forest" kinda thing.

Mapquest me some directions. I think with the time difference I can make it on time.

I'll bring you some collards & butter beans. They always go well with burritos.

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay
My, oh my, what a wonderful day
Plenty of sunshine headin' my way
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay

Excellent song to start the morning of a beautiful day here, too. :cattail:
