......that I know too many men to think that we are better than women, and too many women to think that they are better than men.

Chime in with your own lessons, if you wish. :D

Life, like oranges, promises much, but when you get into it, it's quite often just a load of pith.

life is like a grizzly bear loose in the campground and you dont want to look him in the eye because then he might think you want to play with him and then he will just beat the living shit out of you...

Life has taught me to be ashamed of my sex, my race, and my species.

Life has taught me that I have seen things that have never made me prouder of members of my sex, my race, and my species.

Life has also taught me that love exists, there is justice, and the waffles for jesus are only three for a dollar. Get them while they're hot.

I have learned, that if you have no control over something then why worry. If you do have control over something, change it!

Life is short and in some cases gets really short! ;)

Life has taught me that no matter how much I learn, comprehension of the entire pattern is beyond my reach. But I still try.

Look in my Biography, there's a picture of the whole pattern, it shows exactly where we stand in that pattern! :D

I shall have to meditate upon this lesson.

If I followed your map, I'd get lost.
Well if, and I say that with emphasis, if you could leave the confines of this ball of dirt we live on and you went out into the galaxy or to a position where you could see the galaxy as shown in the picture, you would see that the pointer would be there pointing right at our sun. So how could you get lost? :cathappy:

The entire center of the galaxy is off its axis! That's a problem!

It's a black hole surrounded by masses of stars being sucked in, it doesn't have an axis! :catgrin:

Jammies' Life Rules (learned via experience and observation):

1. Eat dessert first.
2. Never plan your wedding for the day your divorce is supposed to be final.
3. When you are in the middle of a custody battle, do not use drugs, participate in bar brawls or solicit undercover police officers for sex.
4. Under no circumstances, ever, should you believe what a man says to you when his _____ is in your _____.

Engrave these rules on your hearts, my dears, for they are wise.

*snort*

** If your kids are doing something and:
1) they're not hurting themselves, or potentially hurting themselves;
2) they're not hurting someone else, or potentially hurting someone else; or
3) they're not destroying something;
....let them do it. It's easier on your nerves.

** if a man the size of a gorilla grabs you, punch him - hard. Even if you find out later he's a cop, it's worth the $100 fine to see the look on his face.

** superglue is a formidable weapon.

Never clean your keyboard at work while you have outlook open to the company account. :rolleyes:

Actually, some supermassive black holes still retain the original spin of the star that bred them. This creates a twist in the path to the event horizon, which in effect, gives it an axis of rotation :)
