Had a phone call today from an American I knew over 15 years ago in West Africa.
He and his family were in the UK for the first time and he thought he'd try and contact me.
Now I've moved around a bit since I knew him but he kept at it and eventually made contact.
We met (just the two of us), as I didn't know his family he thought it would be more relaxing if it were just the two of us. And do you know what?
Apart from both of us being older it was as though the years hadn't happened. Straight into the old repartee, the same sense of humour, remembering old times.
A great day and now we've made contact again there will be more of them I'm certain...
