This is my question: Is there life after death?
Has any one really genuinely had any weird inexplicable experiences which made them think that potentially there is more to life than meets the eye??????

1) No, there ISN'T life after death.

2) The universe is expanding forever so there will never be the "Big Crunch" to start it all over again.

3) I orgasm a lot. Does that count?

Have a nice day! :D

There are no dead folks posting, so you'll never get a definite answer, but here's mine: yes.

First, consider that you are a conduit for the genes, knowledge, morality, values and wisdom of the human race. Your body grew out of previous bodies. Similarly, you gained your individuality through the teaching and example of others.

If you reproduce, your genetic life continues in your offspring. If you teach, your knowledge survives you. If you live according to your lights, you will be imitated.

These are basic human needs; to support and nurture family and friends, and to remember those that went before. You the conduit carry the life of those before you, and convey it to those after you.

Well I know one thing and this is no BS, A friend and I went to see a rock band and stayed over night in a hotel after the show, when I laid down to go to sleep a freaking Ghost set on my legs and would not let me up, my friend even tried to pull me off the bed and she could not, not until it was ready to let me up......got the shit out of there as fast as my legs would carry me. We still talk about that one to this day......something was out there!!!???

Well that's what I'm talking about Marksgirl.
Like so many others I've written off the idea of life after death, but what if I'm wrong. The mystery of spiritual life is just as great as the mystery of the universe itself.
I honestly think that though people can talk a lot of bs, there are some who genuinely have been through those things that science just can not explain.
I was thinking about this so much the other night that I decided to ask my taxi driver what he thought. He said that when he was 8 years old his grandfather died, but a few days after his death he saw him walking through the house.

Have you ever seen the movie Waking Life?

When we die, aren't we really in Dreamland? Wut do we do when we sleep Now?

I trully do believe

In life after death. I have read, watched and experenced to much for me not to believe in it. Define it anyway you wish "The Collective Consciousness", the "Here After"...and thousand of others, I for one do believe I have a reason and purpose and just wont fade away.

Just please keep those leg setting ghosts away from me! SCARY!

You just remind the ghosts of how fun Kinky sex was. You really bring it out of them Mrs Mark :)

Shit.......

That's all I need now, some horny ghost trying to fuck me!

I'd love to see a ghost. I'd talk to them and ask them questions and get some advice on how to best live life.
Of course this sighting would have to occur during the day or I'd be in danger of wetting my pants from sheer terror.
:p
:p

If the ghosts were like Rex Harrison in "The Ghost and Mrs Muir" (movie version, not the tv show) then I could go for it.

Otherwise, I'm not convinced that there's life after death. I find it difficult to trust the word of someone who was dead (however briefly) to have an accurate recounting of the event.

I think being on the dead-ish side sort of automatically skews your rational perception of the world around you.

It would be fun to have a ghost friend. Just like Casper. I could take him/her to uni and play pranks on the mean, sluttish boys who sit around on the lawns. Then the two of us would go up to the bar and get really drunk on champagne and raspberry.
I'd know how to show a ghost a good time.

Have an apple tree planted on top of your grave. There you go.

Or just wait a really long time. Everything on the planet, including the planet itself is made of stardust. And a long time from now, after our sun has nova'd and our planet is reduced to it's base components, it'll all reform to create a new star, giving life on another planet..

Yes alright I will wait. I will just sit right here, see, in this corner, with a good book, Hmmm, Mills and Boon, yes very good, check my watch? Ready? Okay, waiting starts... now.

I've genuinely believed I was dead for a while. Pesky psychiatric terminology like "pre-morbid functioning".

Well, to start with I was quite scared, but then as it seemed that being dead was not all that different to being alive I formulated the theory that when you die your consciousness jumps into a parallel universe where you didn't die.

Then I got distraught because it seemed like I was leaving body after body as I fell asleep each night, killing the old host and taking over someone elses life. Everything looked the same because of the parallel universes thing.

I thought I was guilty of mass murder because of this, and found myself being attacked by telepathic police. My increased strength from the other souls I had taken over allowed me to force them to surrender though, and after that things started to return to normal (probably due to the psychiatric drugs).

All in all a strange experience, but quite enriching. Certainly not boring, which is the main thing.

Edited for spelling.

What was she wearing? How did she keep it on?

You know what's weird Claude, I've been thinking about death a lot because I formulated a similar theory. Well... just the shifting consciousness bit.
I was really drunk one night and got into a car with some strangers, but I made it home. I got of the car and they called me a scum sucking hoe.
When I went to bed I kept thinking how did I get out of that car safely? I should have been raped and killed.
So what if I was???
But then I thought that if I did shift consciousness then the universe I came into was just as boring as the old one, so what difference does it make:p

Hmmmm

I am still trying to figure out if there is really death after life for me.

Really, I can't see why anyone would want to do it.

I don't think I will.

Life is a cycle, a cycle is a circle, and in a cirlce all things return to where they belong. This is a quote from the White Buffalo Society.
My thoughts are one; in a circle there is no starting point or end.
The thing is, we are finite beings. Even trying to comprehend infinity is not really possible for us. We have been taught there is a begining and a ending. Einstein proved that electricity never dies it changes form. The human body is run on electrical impulses. The spark of life, so to speak. So, when a person dies they only change form. We are all connected in ways most will never understand. We're each a cell in the universal body.
