Considering I'm a strong believer that government is compromise the Hillary Obama Era may go down in history as a teachable moment for appeasing evil people. We nominate a Center Right candidate as the leader of the supposedly Left Party and the result? The Right Party elects a genuine psychopath.

I'd love to see the math that shows they are less relevant than the Constitutional Party. I mean people have heard of the Libertarians. There are even prominent members of that party. Ron Paul is a household name. Most American cannot name say ten Senators that aren't theirs, or one of the two leaders. Gary Johnson is getting up there.
The reality however is that Libertarians are already refugee Republicans for the most part.

This is why we need a PR system in America similar to the one in Germany - a minimum amount required to get seats but a voice for anyone who isn't a complete fuckhead. That way, the Libertarians can have a voice of their own outside the tiny umbrella or a voice within the Republican Party, which has been hijacked by the authoritarian shithead Moral Majority dipshits. Then on the left, we can get a real social democratic group a la Bernie Sanders, and people can band together and stop making "liberal" and "socialist" dirty words.
When there are more buses, we don't have to argue so much over who's the driver.
