In the liberal city from whence the con artist came, more people are being put of work than ever before due mainly to government policies.

Though there are still a few days remaining in 2017, burglaries and auto thefts decreased compared to 2016, and robberies dropped 10% year over year. Even worse, homicides in the city are expected to be the lowest since the 1950s. 278 homicides were committed so far, compared to 325 last year.

The police commissioner defended the loss of jobs by saying, "We adopted the liberal policy of seeking out people in the community and talking about their feelings. Our officers are second to none when it comes interactions. We don't care how many people we put out of work, we won't stop."
