Liberals falsely accused of punishing Republican charity... but it could happen

More than likely, what really happened here is this Republican-run homeless facility is smack dab in the middle of a multi billion dollar condo construction frenzy in downtown LA where landlords are trying to kick out the homeless so that wealthy people will take up tenancy there.

Take a look at what's going on around this homeless shelter:
http://www.downtownla.com/frame.asp?mainPage=pdfs/econ_developments/DT_ProjectPipelineUC.pdf

And here's another article to back up my claim:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/01/01/AR2006010101086.html

That having been said, this article does, while being a flat out lie, have roots in the truth.

1) Democrats and liberals irritate the holy shit out of me when they piss on black people for being conservative.
This is where I've butted heads with them for ages - I ain't anyone's uncle tom. I voted for Bush sr. and Bush jr. (once, that is - I won't make that mistake again if Jeb comes up!) for some major reasons and this is one of them: I despise the gangster blaxploitation bullshit culture that infests black America today. I identify best with black people who work hard, obey the law, and do not blame the white man for their ills.
Liberals (and blacks in particular) have given me a TON of shit for speaking proper english, learning another language, and for hating rap music (which glorifies black on black violence and violence against women, as well as treating black women like whores).

My hatred for liberals burned like the sun itself for years because of this. Old grudges against liberals still come to mind when I remember what I went through with them regarding the state of the black community and how we should fix our problems.

None of you liberals can ever really appreciate how much the Republicans truly fucked up and how much they've brutally betrayed the ideals we Reaganites held dear, that I'm now stumping for liberalism.

Now I'll explain that. The truth that all of us upstanding blacks know best, and why most of us would never be a Republican is that no matter how upstanding we blacks are, we'll always be niggers to post-1964 era Republicans. Go look up 'nigger' on the search function here and you will find, with a few but notable exceptions, that easily identified Republicans or Conservatives use it against blacks A LOT. Fawkin' Injun, anyone?

So while Ted Hayes, in my opinion, is a liar, I know where he is coming from, and I feel his pain, I've been there and done that to a lesser extent.

2) Liberals sometimes do cheat on their taxes. Sometimes liberals are uncharitable towards the innocent. Sometimes they talk big but they don't put their money where their mouths are. Liberals get road rage (*ahem*) and they put their needs before others.

Everyone is sinful and there is none that are righteous.

What Ted Hayes doesn't understand is that charity is charity regardless of what party you hail from. He doesn't understand that the Republican plantation is as real as the Democrat plantation: the Republicans have him thinking that if he, a common sheep, bleats his fealty to the industrialist wolves often enough, the wolves will leave him alone, or he will become a wolf. What Ted Hayes will ultimately learn is that he is still a negro to Republicans, or at best, a commodity (this applies to blacks, whites, Asians or otherwise) to be exploited. He'll either be trotted out whenever the Republicans need to play the "I have black people as friends!" race card, and then put back on the shelf, or he will end his Republican days as a victim of Republicanism greed and social darwinism in which if he fails, no one will care. Republicans do not generally come to the aid of those who are down on their luck, and he will soon realize he is one of few Republicans who do.

On a side note, perhaps Ted Hayes would be better off running a vocational rehab center as well as a homeless shelter. As a former Republican myself, I have always stood by the concept of helping a person get a job instead of just giving them shelter. The reason I'm a FORMER Republican is that Republicans of today are doing everything they can to eliminate the middle class jobs that charitable people like me would bring to the table to lift the poor and homeless out of their chronic situation...

All this having been said, all of this is why in the end I only support Liberals when Conservatives are unchecked and are going on an insane rampage, and why I support Conservatives when Liberals have America under its heel: history will always show that political imbalance is the undoing of America. America prospers when Liberals and Conservatives balance each other out, and Progressives - people with a mix of both - are the ruling majority.

RACE IN AMERICA
Prejudice
Black Republicans should be able to live without fear.

American blacks who are affiliated with the Republican Party are vigorously vilified by Democrats, especially black Democrats. Uncle Tom, sell-out, Oreo--the list of slurs is long.

But it is not only insults. I am the founder and director of a unique, progressive homeless facility in downtown Los Angeles, known as the Dome Village. Yet the 35 men, women and children and their pets who call the Dome Village home are being "evicted" from privately owned property after 12 1/2 years--apparently on account of my political beliefs and activities. You see, though I am a leading homeless activist, I am also a conservative Republican and a strong supporter of President Bush.

Here's how the situation played out. Recently, I was invited to address a local Republican Women's Club; my landlord read an article in the local paper reporting on the event. Soon after, I received a notice raising the Dome Village rent from $2,500 a month to $18,330. Shocked, I inquired as to the seriousness of the change, and the property owner blurted out that the cause of our "eviction" was "because you are Republican." He said that as a Democrat, he was tired of helping me and the Dome Village. In other words, let the homeless be damned.

And people think the Democrats are the party of compassion and tolerance.

Private property should be protected, of course, and I have no intention of causing any trouble for this property owner as we part ways. Whatever he does with his valuable land--it is only a few blocks from the Staples Center--is no concern of mine, and I will not go to court.

Still, I cannot help but be saddened by the whole business. When I founded the Dome Village 12 years ago, we had an understanding that he could ask for his property back at any time for any reason, and I would say "absolutely" without hesitation. Still, his reason was prejudice against Republicans.

We see this across the country. Michael Steele, the lieutenant governor of Maryland and a Republican candidate for the Senate, has been crudely disparaged on racial grounds. A prominent leftist Web site, for instance, depicted him as "Sambo," among other aspersions. When Condoleezza Rice was nominated as secretary of state, she faced similar treatment: editorial cartoons depicting her as a racial caricature, personalities calling her "Aunt Jemima" on liberal talk radio, and so forth. Clarence Thomas, Ward Connerly, Colin Powell, Thomas Sowell and other black conservatives regularly face similar smears.

These conservatives are attacked not because of the validity or judicious consideration of their views but because those views are supposedly heterodox for American blacks. Yet it is my opinion that many black people in the U.S. are politically and philosophically conservative--and many are in fact actually closeted Republicans, fearful of persecution by friends, business associates, society clubs, schoolmates and even churches.

It is time for American blacks to have a conversation about the phenomenon of Democrats persecuting black Republicans. Why is this happening? What is it that the Democrats don't want black folks to understand about Republicans? What is it that the Democrats don't want black folks to know about Democrats? And how is it that we have come to this point--after having endured so much--where we have ourselves curtailed the freedom of political expression through the threat of retaliatory consequences?

Mr. Hayes is a homeless activist in Los Angeles.

Don't know what to say here in washington state we have a democratic control and i am still being fucked out of my money.

Like they put a gas tax of 9 cents over 3 years and now they just raised the car tabs 10 bucks for the same reason the gas tax is pay for.

This is how the care tabs go. If your car is this heavy.

0-4,000 = $10.00
4,001-8,000 = $20.00
8,001-10,000 = $30.00

So we are being taxed twice for the samething and the other party just goes along with them without fighting. And the stupid ass governor does not care and i did not vote for her or the other guy.

And they did something a few years ago that hurt all disabled people they stopped giving the 25 bucks to the SSI checks it was there portion to help the disabled and each time you get a cost of living they take at least 11 bucks worth of food stamps off your amount. So how can people get buy with 60 bucks for food.

I am just saying that the democrates are just as fucked in this state as they are in washington d.c.

Yup, budget crises make stingy conservatives out of liberals and tax and spend liberals out of conservatives... ask Kentucky :D
