I used to use a simple test to ballpark intelligence. Screw all the math and grammar and navel gazing questions, I asked questions based on common experiences and common learnings. Like: WHEN YOU GET YOUR PAYCHECK WHATS THE 1ST THING YOU PAY FOR? A. Cigarettes, B. Beer, C. Rent, D. Child Support.
