According to this list, apparently there are levels of security clearance regarding classified information which are above that of even the president of the united states. Meaning that there are projects/programs that are so secretive, that not even the very highest ranking members of the US government and military have access to them.

Strange how the last ten levels are codenamed instead of numbered.

I always understood that the very highest level of classification was "top secret."

Come on Mike, this is stupid. There are 4 clearance designations. From top to bottom they are 1. Top secret 2. Secret 3. Confidential and 4. Restricted. There are no other levels except the Q clearance which deals with Atomic weapons issues.

There are also any number of designators under the Top Secret classification. This means that even though you have a Top Secret clearance you do not have access to all information that carries a Top Secret classification. Your access is based on "Need to Know" and in a way, all the numbers you have listed are or at least may be sub categories of Top Secret classification but NO MIKE, no classification is higher than TOP SECRET. Different yes, higher no.
