Good morning, Spark. Seems we're always here this time of day. It's a beautiful day where I'm at, sunny, calm and cool. My favorite olympic athlete? Mark Spitz of course, Baseball team? '56 Dodgers, don't watch soccer, but the Jets are having a good time this year. I'm in Vikings country up here, but they don't excite me much lately. As long as the Cowboys lose, it's a good week. I'm going to lunch.

Please forgive my typos - but I just don't give a shit. To me, posting here - well spelling and punctuation and all that kinda stuff - stuff that I didn't pay any attention to in school (cause I was looking up as many girls skirts as I could - a the late 60's, mini-skirts) - it's not why I do this. I'm not here to impress anyone. Too many are. You might notice too that, what I'd refer to as, "Internet etiquette," (don't know what to call it because I don't give a crap about that either, still can't figure out LMOA or whatever it is, means) it's all out the window for me as well.

I'm just trying to flat out communicate here. Nothing more, nothing less.

Oil, yah know - black gold - Texas T - (Hey, here's a big clue to my real identity, my real name - my granddaddy, he was a big Jacque Uwing sort of oil guy, no shit, hat, boots, string tie, the works - an engineer, a machinist, he designed the very first, commercial use, "drill bit link," and he patented this devise for a large oil company - and it's still in common use in drilling today. It allows sections of drill bits (sectional shafts) to be connected, one behind the other, as the drill tip goes deeper and deeper. (Was that sexual for you too?) It's got my granddaddy's last name on it - and it's my first name. Fact is - in the oil industry you would see my name on lots of stuff. Also included, a part of it anyway - in my nick here.)

Good morning, Sparky, enjoying good weather again today, savoring, where I live it gets "fucking cold" but that happens in January and February. In New York you probably get your fair share of that.

Thanks for the links on the guitar thread, I went to the Fender site, that stuff is way too cool. My buddy is a Fender nut, I'm into Gibsons myself, never could cop the feel of a Fender. I'll have to check out the other sites later on.

It's really purdy here but it's getting kinda cold. well i guess that 70 is not exactly "cold" but, hey, i live in the south (georgia) so it is for me! I think my favorite olympic athlete is that female wieght lifter from Savannah who is only like 17 and the strongest girl in the US. she got the bronze i think. other than that i don't have a favorite team as i don't really pay any attention to sports.

Morning Sparky

Cool clear and a light breeze in south central N.B. this morning. 14C and the wind out of the south west. The foliage is about 75% of peak and the maple outside my office window is a brilliant crimson.

Feels like a good day to kick back on a porch overlooking the Nashwaak river with a cup of hot cider (flavored with a cinnamon stick and a drip or two of Irish whisky or calvados) and an LL Bean catalogue. Maybe i'll do that this afternoon. That and think up something profound to say should I ever meet PJ O'Rourke when he's here hunting woodcock.

That sounds pretty darn nice. It's all cabs a honkin', sireens a blarin' round here. Sun's our but I'm hold up in the canyon of dreams and the buildings are so fucking tall I can't see much light. I'll be working in a windowless TV studio all day and won't see the sun at all - not 'til tomorrow morning. As for foilage? Ah.... Central Park is blocks away - fugedaboudit.

Wanna know whats up here in stupid ass smallville PA!!?? I cant tell ya about the weather other than it was damn cold at 6 am when i was coming home from a party!! Yes that means im still awake since yesterday morning!! But wanna hear a shocker!! Naked Hunny is a speed freak ok like it wasnt damn obvious!! Had fun though i just hope my friends dont get arrested while they are at the hospital helping another friend of ours have her baby she went into labor while we were all trippin!! Bad thing i know!! Oh well her mother is a crackhead shes used to it!!

It is a beautiful day here. It's 56 degrees and the leaves off my back deck are just beginning to change. My windows are open and the breeze is blowing through the house.

My favorite baseball team is the Atlanta Braves. Now before the groans start yes I know we Braves fans are spoiled, last night we clinch yet another division penent and there was no great excitment because I expected them to win it.

My favorite player would have to be Galarraga. He missed all last season for cancer teatment and came back and had such an awsome season this year, he has cute dimples and great hands too.

My other favorite players Derrick Jetter and Cal Ripkin for their eyes. Andrew Jones and Andres Galarrga for their dimples. I love Greg Maddox's hands, they are amazing to watch while he is pitching. Andrew Jones has great biceps too.

I cannot believe baseball season is almost over. Fall is my favorite time of the year but I really miss baseball come mid-October.

Hey ya dude! Dang this crazy weather! when I got to work yesterday it was a scorcher! and sooooooo freakin muggy! UGH! but when i left it was down right nipply (you know when it's so chilly that it makes your nipples numb?!?!) and it's stayed cool today also even tho there is no rain in sight.
