I play tuba in my college's marching band, but I don't think it would be very good for me to go posting pics of the band. It's bad enough I talk about it on here. I've played an instrument ever since I was in 4th grade and I still love it.

The tuba is a important instrument in alot of musical styles.

That said, we must keep in mind that the tuba does not and never shall rock.

In 99.99999% of cases, I entirely agree with you, but after hearing the recording of one 3-valved tuba playing Warrior...well dammit if that didn't rock.

I hate to be a stickler, but there is no such instrument as congos. There are bongos and congas.

I'm a life long percussionist.

I should have posted in the pet peeves thread I guess.

If you've been to New Orleans you have seen the Tuba ROCK> Check out Bone-a-rama or any of the great brass bands.

There's also The Bad Livers' Mark Ruben, mostly an upright bass player but also a great tuba player.
