Their party and / or philosophies are taking a brutal hit this year, and recovery will be very slow. The advent of Trump / this decline is, of course, all their fault - but they're human; mistakes happen. Obviously, it will produce some "acting out", especially from our politically-inclined members. This acting out may appear in the form of:

*Blatant lies
*Emotional rants
*Butthurt trolling
*Stalking
*Claiming to be "Libertarian"
*etc.

Please, understand that this is a painful experience for them. Offer condolences. I'll set the example in this thread.

That's a damn shame. Y'know, some of my best friends are Conservatives.

(They're nothing like the majority of the GB ones - they're actually worldly, well-rounded individuals that people find attractive. Still...)

I believe I am fairly liberal because I am a Libertarian (registered as a Democrat so I can participate in all the elections). I was for gay marriage before your president was.
Personally, if I was supporting the Democrat candidate for president I'd avoid any talk of someone else telling lies.

The problem I have is that the so called liberals have moved so far to the right that they are effectively conservatives now.

The left has been completely marginalised by the carpet baggers that got control of the Democratic Party.
