Well, you have to wear fig leaves, I guess.

Crowds go ape over ‘humans’ zoo exhibit

LONDON - Caged and barely clothed, eight men and women monkeyed around for the crowds Friday in an exhibit labeled “Humans” at the London Zoo.

“Warning: Humans in their Natural Environment” read the sign at the entrance to the exhibit, where the captives could be seen on a rock ledge in a bear enclosure, clad in bathing suits and pinned-on fig leaves. Some played with hula hoops, some waved. (complete story below).

Hey, they're not naked.

I feel cheated.

I saw one of these exhibits in Pittsburgh a few years back. They kept throwing beer cans at the crowd and hollering at us. "Get Away, get out of here!" If they didn't want to be watched, what the hell were they doing in that private backyard on the other side of my binoculars?

London Zoo is a great place to visit.

Last time I was there, a few years ago, they had Indian dancers performing on one of their performance areas. My feet were tired (and my back - one of my bad days) so my wife and daughters went off to see the elephants again and I went to watch the dancers.

It was a sunny day. Most people go to the zoo to see animals so there was a very small audience - me and four student girls that I think were associated with the performers. The students seemed to be scribbling notes about choreography.

I sat in the centre of the seating about half way back. The four student girls were near the front on my left so I had a clear view. So did the dancers. They performed AT me.

I have never watched any dancing that was so erotic. The notes with the performance (that I had read before they started) mentioned a woman courting her lover, a priestess offering her body to the Gods and so on. The whole performance was sexual - on an afternoon in the school holidays! Because it was Indian 'folk' dancing it was presumed to be educational.

I was certainly educated. I knew why the Kama Sutra was Indian!

Naughty, naughty Og.

I wonder if they realized you were taking mental notes, writing filthy stories, plotting lascivious deeds.

:rose:

Saw the thread title and my first thought was, "OK. But only because you asked so nice."

I swear, very few lascivious thoughts went through my head.

But I had to redefine 'very few' in order to make that statement.

Charmer.

Love it!!

I have to say, though, despite the Kama Sutra being Indian and all, I didn't have a single sexual thought while I was visiting. It didn't strike me as being a very sexual or sensual type of place, despite all the scantily clad 'entertainment' on their tv channels.

As for the zoo and humans in their natural habitat, I would have expected to see them sitting on a couch, remote in hand...

I think their deliberate intention was to tittilate, to arouse and to excite. If I hadn't remembered them for years I think they might have been very disappointed. They made sure I couldn't forget them by dancing AT me. I felt like a Rajah having his own troop of dancing girls performing for an audience of one.

I am just sorry that so many people at the Zoo that day missed their performance. However they gave four performances during the day. Maybe they had larger crowds than one Og and four female students at the other performances. I found them far more *interesting* than the penguins.
