All of these can be ongoing. Or new ones can be started. It's a shame that as I see a glimmer of my muse returning, I'm checking out. But not for too long. I know everyone is busy with other things, but the Challenges are a way of teaching, and a way of workshopping that is invaluable, and rare, and it is truly a shame to not take advantage of it. Some of the Old Timers here have valuable experience to share and there are a whole new crop of Eager Learners. But, please! In memory of me, will y'all make some of the challenges about form?

Currently, I am onto Haiku! Not because they are simple, and I need a simple poem for an illustration in my Survivour entry, although inherantly they ARE like Feng Shui, but rather because they, like me, do not make sense half the time.

I will look into your ideas though, Boo, as I am trying to write more poetry these days. Thank you.

Charley great luck in the haiku area. I found that my poetry expanded and developed greatly through my times of intense working on haiku. Jim is an excellent source if you need help in this area of poetry. Good luck and I look forward to reading some of your haiku.

Thanks Du Lac. I have not written one since high school (quite SOME time ago - lol) but I believe the "challenge" to be short and complex, and yet meaningful, will prove to be a most interesting experience.

oh I had search for that one... this is a thread that tells alot of about haiku. we had a challenge of couple of times and it was great fun. hope this helps
