Basically unmoderated with light moderation to keep things from getting out of hand and unruly is best, methinks.

It's never been perfect here and we shouldn't expect it to be, but certain personalities here, longtime and pop-up both, are deeply and fundamentally problematic. It goes beyond simply disagreeing with others or not getting along with them because reasons. They are closeted sociopaths and they fly under the banner of free speech here to unhinge their personal ugliness. Not unique to just here of course, but this being the kind of site that it is, it makes one's basic participation here cast in a certain light that you won't find under other forums.

Iggy is a good seminal device to maintain one's serenity and continue functioning in an open-but-enclosed society, but when a few diseased seagulls from the salty shores of the Asshole Ocean continuously swoop in to drop shit on your window or sill because it's their favorite window or sill and they can, that shit builds up and causes unseen problems over time if it isn't cleansed properly.
