Why Elizabeth Warren Matters ​

She is, by far, the most important Democrat running for president.

The contrast between Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden is stark: Biden is comfort food; Warren is food for thought with, to some tastes, a dollop of spinach.

Warren stands virtually alone in the field by offering comprehensive, and specific, proposals for reanimating American democracy by reforming capitalism to reconcile its long-term interests with the needs of Americans writ large. She is, in substantive terms, by far the most important Democrat seeking the presidency.

Honesty and progressive thought is her forte. Although, Steven Yang was on Bill Maher last night and sounded pretty reasonable, but maybe a VP for a while?

Elizabeth Warren Has Lots of Plans. Together, They Would Remake the Economy.

The Gray Lady shows some class.

WASHINGTON — As the 23 candidates seeking the Democratic nomination struggle to distinguish themselves, Senator Elizabeth Warren has set herself apart with a series of sweeping proposals that would significantly remake the American economy, covering everything from tax policy to student debt relief and offering a detailed portrait of what her presidency might look like.

Many of the proposals from Ms. Warren, a former Harvard law professor and hawk on financial regulation, could face a difficult path to winning over moderates in a general election, and to gaining approval in Congress if she did take the White House. But the sheer volume of her plans, and their detail and variety, is forcing her rivals to play catch-up and stake out their own positions.

Yes Liz has plans, and they are not Hillary level bullshit either. While Wall st. may quake in fear that she will fuck the Banksters and the 1%, her message will resonate with the folks who have been their prey and out number the Establishment Cheerleaders.
