Let There Be Rock

It's a dog eat dog
eat cat too
fish eat frog
I eat you
hey hey hey
every dog has his day

and it's eye for eye
tooth for tooth
it's a lie
that's the truth

hey hey hey
every dog has his day

Bon Scott was a goddamned prophet.

Moving down the motorway
Got a whole lotta booze
Got myself a sweet little number
Whose got nothing to lose
Gonna bend you like a G string
Conduct you like a choir
So get your body in the right place
We'll set the world on fire

Go down. Oh feels good. Oh so good.

There were 15 million fingers learning how to play
And you could hear the fingers pickin'
And this is what they had to say.

Let there be light
sound.....

They said right and I said left
They said east I said west

~banging my head~

One night in a club called `The Shaking Hand'
There was a ninety-two decibel rocking band
The music was good and the music was loud
And the singer turned and he said to the crowd -

"Let there be rock"

Hijack

I love Jimi Hendrix but Stevie Ray Vaughan did a better version of Voodoo Child (slight return)? I spent some great time comparing.

Some run, some fight
But I win, they lose

You're good to go, hoss.

Problem Child.
Problem Child.

I never smoke me no cigarettes
I never drank much booze
But I am only a man, don't you understand
And a man can sometimes lose.

I overdose on you.

You're so hypocritical Riff. You accuse me of being obscure.

PC man understands you though. I don't know if that's a great consolation.

Sometimes I think this woman is kind of hot
Sometimes I think this woman is sometimes not
Puts me down, fools around.....

Disillusions, and confusions, make me wanna cry

If this is hell, then you could say
It's heavenly
Hell ain't a bad place to be.... :)

She's like a lethal brand
Too much for any man
She gives me first degree
She really satisfies me
Love me till I'm legless
Aching and sore
Enough to stop a freight train
Or start the Third World War
You know I'm losin' sleep
I'm in too deep
Like a body needs blood
No doubt about it can't live without it

The girl's got rhythm

(riffy, did your girl have rhythm last night?)

42-39-56
You could say she got it all
She's a whole lot of woman
Whole lot of woman
A whole of rosey
A whole lot of woman!

YOU TELL ME! :)

Hey, PC. What is your favorite AC/DC album? I do like let their be rock, but Powerage is up high on my list too. :)

You know, the last AC/DC album I ever bought was back in black. When Bon died, they turned to shit if you ask me.

Back in Black was the only post-Bon Scott AC/DC I ever bought. It was good, but they went downhill from there.

Seems like I touch too much. That damned bouncer made me back off the stage when I was drooling on the dancer at the titty bar. God, she was beautiful. And she was kind.

Why do dancers get such a bad rap?

Now I am listening to Type O Negative. Anybody like them? Bloody Kisses.

I agree...I never could get really used to Brian whatshisfaces voice, but overlooked it because the band was so fuckin' good. My faves are Highway to Hell and Let There Be Rock, but I really like Back in Black and even For Those About to Rock.

Never has one band made so many rockin tunes about so few topics...women, booze, fighting, and Rock N Roll.

God love their obnoxious Aussie asses.

I watched a special on them on VH1 about a year ago.

When I was 17 my dad bought me a Gibson SG that I still have. Same guitar Angus uses- but I have Humbucker pickups in mine.

Ever see their first video for Jailbreak? I saw it once. I wish I could see it again. Wonder where I could find it.

No, I didn't see the video, but I saw them live in the CowPalace in San Francisco in about 1982.

I had an aisle seat and Angus walked up my aisle playing Bad Boy Boogie...I could have touched his leg if the security would have let me, that's how close he was. He was covered in sweat and his knees were bleeding from skidding around on the plywood stage.

I'll never forget that.

Do you know I NEVER saw them live? I don't know how I missed it because I was in Jacksonville, FL and they came all of the time.

Probably spent all my money on pot and couldn't afford a ticket. heh!

It's another lonely evening
And another lonely town
But I ain't too young to worry
And I ain't too old to cry
When a woman gets me down
Got another empty bottle
And another empty bed
Ain't too young to admit it
And I'm not too old to lie
I'm just another empty head
