The first rays of sun hit you; how do they affect you? Do you awake joyful, or annoyed? Are you instantly energized and set on the right foot for the day, or are you still groggy?

Growls

Nope, I hate it!

As I am a creature of the night, it means that my dark comfort is leaving, the birds awaken and start to chirp, life awakens.

Another day to cope with, without the peace of the dark.

A new day, more problems, promises of what?

Nay, I prefer the dark, always!

I sneeze. Seriously. Bright light makes me sneeze. Whether it's the sun, or opening the fridge door in the middle of the night.

What light? Shades drawn .... covers over my head .... I see nothing .... I just hear that damn alarm

i love waking up to the sun shining into my room.. it always makes me feel like its going to be a good day.. whether it ends up that way or not. for some reason, whenever i wake up to a dark room, i feel really alone and depressed and then the day is really bad, no matter what i do.

I've been getting up before the sun...

I greet the sun with joy and gratitude.

I spent quite a few years as a "vampire", a creature of the night. My internal clock recently adjusted, and I find that I am more comfortable getting up early. I still stay up until midnight......but I find that I need less sleep than I used to.

Depends....

If I am at home with the windows wide open and the warm rays of sunlight are streaming through my window , its time for me to wake up and start the day.

If ....

I am @ my friend's where his apartment is like an icy box ... the curtains are shut tightly and I see a ray of sun light trying to sneak in ... I just go to his bedroom and go back to sleep.
I love staying @ his place - his apartment is FREEZING.... and on a hot summer day its perfect. :)

not that joyful

but always ready to face another day, a bit groggy once in a while, making fast moves towards the coffee pot, just don't talk to me before I've had my caffeine fix
I'm usually up before the sun anyway lol

Growls

Well, here I am, but now must go
Back to my world, the one I know

The dawn is creeping up on me,
the darkness goes, it's light I see

So very soon the birds will sing
To greet a day, their sound will ring

A sound I hate, then next, day brings
Lawnmowers buzz, family's doing things

They did sleep well and meet the day
But not for me, I go away

My clock says day, but not for me
I crawl away, no light prithee
I like the dark
It's peace, it's stark

It suits me deep
Within it's warm and gentle keep

So sweet dreams all, till next we meet
Good day, enjoy and make it sweet!

When the sun hits me in the morning, i usually look up from my bicycle, smile, and think "I wish I was riding to the beach instead of work"

Hehe me too, Rasta. It has to be really bright, though -- the sun, if I'm inside, doesn't tend to bug me. I'm a morning person, so the morning sun hitting me usually makes me smile and think of what a gorgeous day is in store.

I, too, am a night person. Yet there's always a feeling of wonder and hope when I'm still awake and catch the sunrise outside my window, narrowed by the City streets, but as colorful and bright as any I've seen. Witnessing this humbles me a bit, but gives me hope that things will be better.:rose:

I like the sun, but especially if I have somthing to look forward to. Like a fun filled Saturday.

I wish it would go away when I have to go to class or if I am hungover.

I never used to be a day person, all those years of working midnights, but in the last year, I've learned to love the sun.
But I always seem to be up before it is:(

i lounge around in bed...i love that toasty, cozy feeling of how your body feels when you first wake up...no muscle aches...sheets super soft...all relaxed...i like to wake up slow and take it easy...rushing around isnt usually something good for my overall tone of the day...

so blackbird...how bout you, how do you wake up?
