It just seems less wholesome writing a novel for children at one in the morning while drinking beer. This is definitely going to be a different kind of kids book.

That's just wrong.

Children's literature should never be written on anything less than 80-proof.

I think I may have to do that. I write filth and obscenity while drinking Snapple and alcohol for kids books. That doesn't seem right.

Dr Suess had to switch from regular rum to 151 when he wrote "the cat in the hat"

I wrote all my papers in High School while drinking Apple Pucker.... scary thing is I got A's. I write Erotica sober and it's terrible...

What would be terrible is if the kid was "reading" the book at one in the morning while drinking a beer.

I think the implications here are clear. Your teachers had less discerning taste than your libido. Don't blame them though, English teachers rarely get turned on reading student's work.

That's probably true

Speaking from experience, the only time I got turned on reading student's work was the essay <name omitted> wrote about "My Favorite Thongs." Oddly enough, I never gave an assignment to write about How Your Clothes Express Your Personality again.
