lesbians/bi-fems in D.C. Metro Area

I just moved to the D.C. Metro area, although I've lived close by most of my life but now I'm on my own and just wondering if there were any bars/clubs etc.. that are good places to meet lesbians in the area. If anyone knows let me know! Thanks.

Hey! I'm glad someone else found this post. Well I don't know about Baltimore but I recently discovered a gay bar in Arlington Va called Freddy's off of 13th street and they have karoke and great drinks - a good fun atmosphere. Mostly gay men but some gay women there as well. Seems to cater to more of a young professional crowd. A great place to hang out - even if you aren't gay! So maybe try and locate a gay bar - check out the karoke places in your area - look for festive attired bars!

Merriman's in Fredericksburg, Va is known as a local glbt bar - great people, very welcoming . . . i enjoy going there as a straight male!

LoL, 'flock' to hu? I like that. Well, I usually go to W.I.T.T.(Women in their 20s) meetings some Fridays and DeLounge since it's so nearby work! Also, try www.dcdykes.com. Hope you like the area and take care!

If you're bi, I'd say the DCBiWomen's group would be a great place start. I'm actually a member myself, and they're fantastic. Even if you aren't bi, they've still got a great list of weekly happy hours and club nights on their website. Next Wednesday (the 19th) they're actually having their first "Women in their 20's" mixers--Happy Hour at 30 Degrees (which has branched out a lot since it's been posted on Craigslist, so it's a lot less a DCBi thing and more just general bi/les, if that's an issue), and moving over to either Chaos or Cobalt for dancing.

There are also a couple events announcement lists on Yahoo!, one through DCBi (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Events4BiWomen) and another that overlaps with it quite a bit (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/events4women).

If you're interested in more general things, the Burgundy Crescent Volunteers are a great GLBT volunteer organization (I'm a member of this too).
