Is it just me or is everyone on this site crazy for girl-on-girl lust. I've written six stories so far (please read them and let me know what you think). All were reasonably well received, but my two lesbian stories (The Naughty Stewardess and A Horny virgin's Tale) are by far the most often read in my repertoire. What is it about lesbians that peaks everyone's curiosity?

girl/girl

Hi silky-bi-girl, I have to agree, Lesbian stories are pretty hot reading on this site...add to that, incest as well. I think the forbidden is very enticing to most readers.

My past stories are in the romance category, and my newest story, Dancing Angel, is in the Lesbian category. This by far, has been more popular then my other stories. I'm glad its been well received, especially being my first writing of this content. If you haven't read it, you'll find the link in the feedback section under my post. Please, do check it out.

I'm not quite sure why Lesbian is such a hot category, but it is...and I'm sure it'll continue to be. As is incest...I think its just the excitement of something different from the norm. I know I felt a lot different writing about being with a woman. There are no words to express. Grins. It was an experience. And, I'll do it again someday.

Hugs Katerina:rose:

I can't wait to check out your story, Kat. Glad to hear you got a special feeling writing about being with another woman. So did I. This is new territory for me, but I must say, I really like it.

I think its the fact that it's an unreachable fantasy for many people, the thrill of the chase sort of thing. Maybe also because many women want to experience the sensation, but are afraid of the ramifications, as a result, reading the stories is a way of living out ones own fantasies........Ill be sure to read a few of yours ;)

silky-bi-girl...Glad to hear you're going to read Angel. I hope you enjoy it...please, do let me know when you've read it. And Davekanga, I hope you'll check it out too...*Grins*

I think you're right Dave...for most, this is an unreachable fantasty, and it can be enjoyed through the written word...

Hi, Silky...

Have I experienced it? Let me tell you this...I have met a few women on line that have made me think very naughty thoughts...Thats why I decided to write my story...

But, in real life, no...I haven't experienced being with a woman. I have a vivid imagination and I use it to the best of my ability.

just me?

I usta really love girl/girl stories on other sites before I found Lit. Know that the forum has opened up my appreciation of the gay lifestyle, I feel "dirty", like a bad voyeur, when I read them, like I'm soiling their private world. Which is odd, because I am a voyeuristic sort.

Is voyeurism at the heart of the attraction of lesbianism to males?

I had to come back to write this . . .

I just read Colleen Thomas' "The Last Fuck, Good-bye." That is the finest short story she has ever written, IMHO, and one of the best ever. It still has my heart wanting to cry.

Colly is one of the best ever, and one reason I still feel okay reading lesbian tales.

Thank you. I was not sure how that story would be recieved. It isn't my usual tale.

I cant speak for others but most stories with men with woman usualy seem distant and unemotional. The hardness of masculinity versus the softness of femininity, almost seems a struggle at times. While many lesbian stories have an emotional connection. The softness of two feminine bodies mingling together. Just the sight of two woman kissing is sensual, I cant say that about seeing a man kissing a woman ...unless I am the man doing the kissing :)

I prefer lesbian stories without strapons, anal sex or butch dykes since those things bring out the roughness of the act. Like I said I enjoy reading or writing about the softness of two female bodies together.

I hadnt thought about that before, but it is truer than i had realised. Women are more sensual creatures, and in pairs this is only enhanced.

I havent indulged myself in the gay-man section of lit yet, but i expect there is alot of scope for some real intimate, soulful encounters.

what was this thread about again?

Oh yes. Hmm, true, true.

I dont know that lesbians were ever a big curioso for me. Though the storys on lit do have a very intimate quality that i like. I've always been intimidated by the amount of incest fiction here. But live and let live!

Most stories that have a girl on girl theme are quite erotic to both male and females. For men, it is a hot, crazy wild fantasy, something they would love to try with their patner or watch their patner do. As for women, well, I think it is something we find erotic, naughty, exciting as well as soft and romantic, and depending on our mood hot, crazy and wild!!

I have written one, another is in the process, but I have found that the most viewed and most feedbacks were received on an anal sex story I wrote.

What is it about lesbians that peaks everyone's curiosity?

Maybe it's that women know more about making love than most any man:

(men) ". . . haven't been raised as we have to attract rather than to act." (Sandy Sheehy)

"It's too bad that every male cannot have instruction from a female homosexual prior to marriage. Only a female homosexual really knows how to make love ot a woman."

(Dr. Earle M. March, assistant clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California Medical Center, at a 1968 series of lectures on sex.

That may all be true, as well as other things that have been too hidden for decades, if not centuries. Hope it helps the discussion.

Here is the thing, Juan, what you don't approve of, you shouldn't read and especially put such a low vote on something that may be written wonderfully or has a special meaning to the author. If you enjoy gay (men on men) stories, that's wonderful and that's were your time should be spent, not lowering the rating of a story, just because you don't like lesbians or find the "boring".

There are a few topics here on Lit that don't interest me, so I don't bother reading them, unless I become extremely curious about it. If I found it to be unappealing, I just wouldn't vote.

You've been getting around lately, haven't you juan?

That comment looks and sounds extremely familiar to one a friend of mine received the other day. Funny thing is that most people avoid things they don't like or can't appreciate. Like Honey said above, if you don't care for a certain category then don't read it. I, for one, don't understand how you have the capacity to understand a male/male relationship but can't seem to wrap your mind around its female equivalent. But this is not important to me. What is important is that you understand and respect every author's individual work and effort, whether you accept what they wrote or not.

I've read some very interesting stories here. Some were not well written at all and others simply grossed me out to no end. But I have never and will never place a '1' vote on something simply because it rubbed me the wrong way. The author put time and effort into writing it and submitting it and for that, at least, they should be respected and admired.

In future, it might not be such a good idea to throw such nasty epithets around and trash talented authors simply for the content of their stories. Just an opinon.

Hey silky-bi-girl,

I've got nothing to compare to, but my stories in the Lesbian Sex category have received quite a lot of views. The wonderful feedback from people all over was such a treat and really helps me hone the craft. But the thing that surprised me was the number of men that responded. Maybe it's because one of my stories includes a ton of hard and fast motorcycle action, but the other submission received plenty of male attention as well.

I think most men have a fantasy about entertaining two women at the same time and can put themselves in the middle of the action as they read. I also think they are more visually stimulated/voyeuristic and get off on the image of two women. I am not male, and hesitate to guess at what it is they find attractive. But my own personal idea is that the things women are attracted to in other women are essentially the same. Of course, I think there's a different level of understanding between two women than a woman and a man.

Suppose I'd just say that since women are more honest/open about their bi/lesbian tendencies and men are just inclinde to love as many hot sexy women as they possibly can, this opens the category up to more readers. Very few people have issue with two women together but seem to take serious offense to the idea of two men. I don't make the rules, but that's how it seems to come across to me.

Forbidden fruit and all.

lucky don't you dare indulge in a battle of the wits with someone who is so clearly unarmed;)

The Mrs <---- who's going back to being boring and lesbianish :D
or is that lebanese oh well either way I suppose

It seems to me that the simplest answer to the popularity of lesbian themed stories is that most every man I have ever recieved feedback from tells me one of his greatest fantasies is a threesome with two women. In a lesbian story most every man can indulge that fantasy, even if "he" is only there vicariously.

For women the draw can be anything from actually being gay, to being bi or bi curious or just enjoying a story where the story is stronger than much of the stroke material in other categories and having the ability to be non judgemental. Most lesbian erotica is written with a female audience in mind and I am not sure that is the case with any other category. The average story has more to do with emotions and feelings and other things that your average stroke story touches on only briefly if at all.

Every category has its adherents, those who regularly browse there. And every category gets its share of just visitors. People who are looking for something other than their usual fare, whatever that may be. Obviously most people who enjoy gay male erotica won't browse the lesbian category as often as someone who's regular category is N/C or BDSm or loving wives, etc. but as an alternative to the regular diet I think a lot of people can take a trip to the category and find something enjoyable.

I get feedbacks from all manner of people on my work. Gay women, straight women, Bi and bi curious women, straight men, bi men and even ocasionally gay men. Authors who tend to stay in their own comfort zone, but can and do appreciate another's work as well from time to time. A well written, well crafted story may appeal on a level other than genital and aside from romance and BDSM, it seems to me the average story in the lesbian catergory features more work on plot, background and back story than the others I have read.

Re: lesbians stories

Whilst I am always pleased to get comments on my stories, whether they be good or bad, I must admit that I get more pleasure from writing them and knowing that others are then going to read them. So this goes back to the voyeuristic point of view I suppose. Or maybe the exhibitionist in us all, putting something out there and wanting, craving for others to see it.
I agree that there is a certain thing about lesbianism for a man, but feel that anything with that element of tabooism makes interesting reading for us on Lit, and afterall isn’t this a form of freedom of speech, which we should always encourage?

I cant figure if your trolling to get some attention or a misguided individual. But I will take the bait anyway to tell you that you certainly will not make friends here with comments like that, some may take great offence to your words. Now I understand that lesbian stories are not your thing, I personally have no intrest in stories that are about gay males, transexuals, transvestits and others things also. As others said above don't read stories in genres that you cant appreciate. And for voting a 1 because your repulsed by the genre, well I don't think you would like if I end up doing the same thing to gay male stories. But of course I would not even bother reading them and I certainly would not respond to a message on these boards asking people why they like gay male stories. Now if you just typed something without thinking (It happens to everyone, I have been known to put my foot in my mouth sometimes) then I ask you to apologize to those people that read your post and may have been hurt by them.

Lesbian Stories

I am imouse, hardly new to Lit., but certainly new to this thread. In my many postings I have expressed my excitement and interest not only in lesbian erotica, but erotica written by women. I have downloaded much of it from the web, and read many books and viewed many adult films. I very much enjoy buying erotica from both Blowfish in SF, and The Erotic Print Society in the UK, where I am on a one on one basis with a wonderful cust. service person. Alas, Greta is nolong with Blowfish.

I have thought much about the issue and have many ideas no doubt good bad banal but I do hope honest. For me there is no greater genital pleasure than my lips and tongue on the labia and clitoris of a woman. Period. I can intellectualize it, or fake it or make it smut, but for me there is no greater intimate sexual pleasure (and giving it) that to be inside a woman vagina with my mouth, by far more so than with my penis.

I realize I have simplistically put forth "plumbing" but for me it is quite more.

But not now. It is late, (or early) almost 2:00AM in LA and I need sign off. I am amenable to chat (web only) by this thread, PM or email if anyone is interested. But I shall happily look forward to this thread.

For what its worth if needed, I am a male hetero living in LA.
