I'm totally down with this stuff if it has artistic merit...

I saw the Genitorturers for the first time around 2 years ago for halloween. They are this outrageous if not more so with their live show and it is brilliant. The props and whipping and glitter- douche and motorized cock harnesses all play into the show which in turn points right back to the music as the driving force....this show had a theme throughout, tension and resolution, and amazing visuals. It raised my bar for live shows extremely high. It was sensual, it was brutal, it was personal and it was pure excitement. One of the highlights was when they brought people on stage and molested them....(WILLING participants). A girl lost her virginity that night on stage right in front of me....

There are always artists that try to push the envelope of performance, and there are plenty of things that I find uninteresting, though extreme. Suspension for example, I never get the message inherent... but when extreme behavior and art can feed one another it's a beautiful thing.
