Inside the small nondescript building on a road seldom traveled, a large desk sits in the center of a plush room, surrounded by chairs, end tables with magazines, a flat screen tv hung on the wall, and posters of various medical procedures and diagrams. The simple large desk was home to several files, all neatly stacked and organized, as well as incoming and outgoing mail, and a desktop computer used mostly for tracking appointments and patient histories. The phone sat silent, just as the chair was empty.

Through the door into the back room, and the scene changed dramatically. The sterile white room was framed with counters and sinks, drawers home to gloves, tools, and various instruments of the trade. There was an exam table with protective paper and retractable stirrups, serving as the centerpiece, and the only piece of furniture, save a pair of plain stools. Mirrors and lights, including a movable light over the table, adorned the walls.

Leo's clinic was open for exams, physicals, and standard advice were what he offered. His creed was to help in any way he and his staff could, no matter the issue. Exams were by appointment, set by voice mail (PM), but the waiting room was free and open for all who wished to converse.

The doors were open, and awaiting what will.

* * * * *

Leo slid calmly inside after unlocking the door to the clinic. It was a beautiful day so far, and it was looking to be a busy one at that. He strode around the desk and checked the phone for messages. Nothing yet. He turned on the power to the computer, allowing it to warm up while he worked on straightening up the room. His next task was to don his coat and stethoscope, then step into the back room to wash and scrub his hands.

His Physician's Assistant hadn't arrived yet, but neither had his nurse. They would be along shortly, he was sure.

He stepped back into the waiting room and pulled up a chair, content to wait for the first patients, not to mention the staff.

((This clinic's waiting room is for all, but appointments are set via pm to myself or lily. Enjoy.))

She slid into the waiting room, looking around, fidgeting slightly with the hem of her skirt. Her head tilted as she examined the surrounding area. Hey eyes landed on a particularly intriguing poster involving a procedure that looked quite gruesome. She smiled at it, studying it, taking it in. The graphics were quite detailed, keeping her immersed in the art for quite a bit. She turned slowly, moving onto another poster, not as interesting, but something to look at.

I believe I have an appointment, no?

She noticed the absence of staff and wondered whether she was early, or had the wrong date written. She wore a particularly short skirt, as she'd promised Leo she'd make up for a previous... interruption.

Wanders back into the waiting room, not noticing his visitor at first. He strides to the desk, scooping up a chart and studying it for a moment. He glances at his watch then wondering where his PA is. She should have been here by now...

He looks up suddenly, his eyes greeted by the delicious sight of a young woman staring at one of the posters on the wall. That's a nice skirt...

Hello there, my dear. Did I miss your appointment time?

You did, indeed. Actually... It was for "after six" and it's still after six. So techinically... no.

Heehee.

She turns to face him, smiling widely.

My apologies, dear. Opening day, and my staff is late, so I'm all by myself. No excuse though.

He smiles softly.

Now, I believe we had you scheduled for a physical, yes? Why don't you head on back to the exam room and we'll get started.

Oh, and there's my PA... Help her get comfy please, lily.

She giggles and tries to look innocent, but fails, and tilts her head at him instead.

This way?

She motions towards the door, moving toward it.

Yessir.
*Nods to Oreo and her inquiry on the door* Let me get that for you.*Opens it and lets her go first*

Now, Doctor Leo will need you to be in one of these... *takes a little paper blue robe from one of the closets, handing it to her* In the buff beneath, please. You can leave your socks on, if you want. Full physicals and all that...

*points to the little table* You can wait for him right up there. Don't worry, I'll be here the whole time. He's a busy guy, I help out where I can. *Smiles, peeking back out into the hall* Go ahead and get changed, I'll be right back! *leaves the room to fetch the Doctor*

She strips quickly, eyeing the robe, only half surprised he has his paitents wearing anything at all. She grins and slips into it, tying it and hoisting herself up onto the table. She lets her feet dangle, swaying them like a child while she waits.

No idea how bad I feel about this. Really, you have none, but I have to go in about half an hour...

Most definitely. One of these days, we're gonna get past this scheduling thing. Even if it takes all week, since I'm not working next week and won't care if I get no sleep...

He looks up as Lily comes back out of the exam room and he smiles softly and raises a brow.

Is she ready, then?

He's already got a chart prepared and set on a clipboard by now, and he scoops it up while following his PA back to the room, where his patient awaits. He walks up to the striking young woman and takes in her form for a moment, then extends his hand.

Doctor Leo, at your service. I'll start with a couple of tests, checking things out, then we'll move on from there. How's that sound?

He flashed a quick broad smile

Oh, no problem, dear. We'll just get you all set up for another appointment.

Though, I'm thinking I'll have to tie you up next time so you can't leave...

*Goes out front to pencil in a physical for CT sometime soon*

Poor guy's having blood pressure problems, Doc.
I'll have to see what I can do to help him...

strides into the waiting room sporting my new latex uniform and a towering pair of thigh high black boots that add height to my petite frame. I tie back my long dark red hair and take a seat nervously. I can't believe I missed my first day at work and Dr Leo is known to be a demanding and exacting employer.

I wait a while but the place is deserted, emboldened, I look around the well equipped examination room and draw myself up a snifter of morphine, just to take the edge off my nervousness. I raise the hem of my dress and moan softly as the sterile needle punctures my pale thigh above my stocking top. I pull back on the syringe slightly to check I'm not in a vein and then plunge the drug into my muscle tissue, savouring the cold sensation of the fluid entering me and the ache it causes.

I dispose of the syringe, go back to the waiting room and sit again, pressing a piece of gauze to my thigh until the bleeding stops. I sit there clutching my resume. I will wait for as long as it takes, quietly blissed out in the corner.

*Comes in for the new day, late yet again; this time from having pressed her own new work clothes and hurrying inside to get the clinic in order*

Stupid rain storms. Lightning always get to-

*Pauses as she sees the.. interestingly... dressed girl settled in one of the chairs*

Oh. Hello there.
*Shakes a finger at nothing in particular, nodding*
Interview. Interview, right. Ohhh Doctor-!

He steps in through the main door, spotting Lily and his new-hire chatting there in the waiting room. Nice outfits... He steps up and introduces himself to the new girl as he takes her hand.

Dr Leo. You're a day late... Come, step into the exam room. We'll do the interview there. You too, Lily.

He leads the way, patting the table for her to sit as he pulls up a stool and seats himself casually.

So tell me, what makes you the best fit for this job?

she looks up as the newcomer quizzes her, taking in the woman's blue satin dress and crisp white coat. she has almost forgotten where she is and why she is here. the other woman seems to move and speak at an alarming speed, then she shakes a finger as though dishing out a reprimand.

Interview. Interview, right. Ohhh Doctor-!

But this looks like a doctor too... clearly she's not the doctor in charge here. as fast as the thought forms, she dismisses it. Leo, of course, is the head physician here. Leo, for whom she is a day late.

Shit.

she rises from her chair onto her platform heels as the man himself appears through another door. he takes her hand and eyes her assessingly, making her suppress lassitude in her limbs and try to appear alert. it won't do for him to discover that she's been at the medicine cabinet already, that's what put her out of her last job.

Dr Leo. You're a day late... Come, step into the exam room. We'll do the interview there. You too, Lily.

she follows him into the exam room, lifting a hand as she does so to buff the 'Nurse Fuckmeat' nametag sitting above her right breast. she perches on the edge of the table when he indicates that she should sit there, her short skirt pushed slightly upwards by the position and her legs crossed to avoid revealing that she wears no knickers. Nothing else was about to fit into her tight latex uniform and she didn't want a thong-line to mar its impact. the latex hugs and lifts her tits, making the most out of them. she licks glossed lips nervously and tries to focus solely on answering his questions, cranking her morphine addled mind up a couple of gears.

So tell me, what makes you the best fit for this job?

Um... well I have lots of experience Sir- I mean doctor. I've worked in a casualty department and dealt with most everything. I have certificates in additional training doctor.

with finger and thumb, she slowly extracts some folded pieces of paper from a small, tight pocket above her left hip, sifting through them as she continues

Intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, IV cannulation and drug administration, using an ECG, EEG and administering electro-shock therapy, sutures, plaster-casts, ultrasound, catheterisation, local anaesthesia, stomach pumping, control and restraint of patients who pose a danger to themselves and... opiate administration.

I know you just do medicals doctor but I have heard that your methods are unique and as you can see... I am prepared for any eventuality and will be able to support you and Lily fully.

his expression remains inscrutable and she begins mentally squirming beneath Leo's implacable gaze. she twists the certificates in her hand absently, unaware that she is doing so

*Follows after, closing the door to the waiting room and simply standing at the side of his exam room's door, her clipboard nestled between her chest and folded arms, observing the interview and taking notes as it progresses*

Lots of experience...

*Words barely mumbled, jotting down everything that was listed onto her papers, glancing up at the sound of the crinkling in FM's hands* Would you like me to hold those for you? I can get them copied out front. For your employment records and such. *Smiles and offers out her hand, glancing to Leo*

I can think of a few patients that might need some help getting their shots. Afraid of such little needles. I get more freaked out at the big ones. Never know where they'll try to poke...

*Sighs, smirking back at FM* I'm sure you've been through that before too, hmm?

Leo nods as he follows along, listening intently as the girl explains her background and experience. Quite impressive, and it would leave him free for the more exciting parts of his appointments. Plus, certain patients required an extra pair of hands during sessions...

But there was something off, not right... He just couldn't place his finger on it. He'd seen it before, what was it. He cants his head to the side, as he thinks, trying to place it in his memory.

Are you... Are you on something?

my eyes widen as though in total shock, I have played this game many times before with doctors. I raise a hand to block the glare of the harsh strip lighting in Dr Leo's exam room and giggle as though he has made a joke

Doctor you're too funny. If anything it's all this bright lighting, you really have these light boxes buffed to a shine, I'll have to get used to it.

I make myself hold his gaze, looking deliberately from the lightbulb to his face so he can see my pupils dilating. that they were mere pinpricks before I even glanced upwards is something I hope he won't have noticed. I don't dare glance at his assistant. Leo is the one I have to convince here, she will go along with whatever he says

I'm sorry doctor, I always get jittery at interviews. If I'm high on anything, it's the prospect of working for such an esteemed physician.

when in doubt throw in some flattery, almost never hurts. I smile winningly
