"Lemmings" was a problem-solving video game for the super nintendo entertainment system (SNES) where you had to guide tiny green-haired people to the exit of the level by digging, building, climbing, etc..
The game reminds me of people today, who just drone through every single day with their faces in their smartphones and sitting home watching sports.
They cannot make decisions for themselves and need others to tell them what they should do.
