In the name of simplicity, we are making this poll with only 2 options. If you have other interesting lateralization or handedness characteristics, please leave a reply as well as an answer.

I write with my left hand but everything else I am a righty. I write with my left hand but hold my pencil like a righty, not that big curl like some lefties do. It has to do with the dominant eye (the curve allows the dominant eye to take in the words being written)

My brain lateralization is pretty scrambled, not much of a division and in some cases left-right reversed.

Seattle, oh my Seattle :) how have ya been?

:rose:

I can write legibly with both hands, but I drive with my left, if that matters

trapped inside a stressed body but free for now...

:)

I type most of my writing, which uses both hands. My right hand cheats on the keyboard (poaches on letters that should be left), so I suppose I am a "rightie."

I do everything with my right hand but my left leg and foot are more dominant. So I am more flexible in terms of stretching legs into splits on one side, stopped left when playing hockey and shoot better with my left foot when playing soccer. I blame my Dad. He taught me backwards. :)

It was a great way to show off at hockey practice though because I learned to stop both ways way faster than everyone else who kept falling on their faces when they stopped left.

I am right handed but left eyed. I shoot hockey left but bat and play golf (with a terrible heel off my club) right. I can fire a rifle with either, but if I shoot right, I leave both eyes open.

Why is it that lefties are called south paws but the others of us aren't north paws?

your right hand cheats on your keyboard? with what, the mouse? is your keyboard the possessive, jealous type? it won't be boiling your bunnies while you are out or anything will it?

I'm a Lefty. I do everything with my left, but I'm a right-brained thinker.

I figured if I had no brain it would be easier to write from my heart.

:D
Nevermind that your brainless, heartful poetry would make less sense than a monkey's signature.

But at least you'd be writing from the heart ;)

And if that doesn't work, I'll move on to other body parts.

I'm right handed surrounded by lefties that drive me nuts. One in particular wants to hang shirts the wrong way around, wants to change the knives and forks in the drawers around and worst of all, she wants to change the toilet roll so the paper hangs at the back of the roll *shudder* (thank goodness we have two bathrooms).

I'm fairly creative minded (not so's you'd notice in poetry, yet lol ). Put me to a maths quiz and I'll leave the room to weed the garden, or something, so I guess that's right-brained.

:rose:

I write, feed myself, bat and pitch, crochet and cut with my left hand. I always start with my left foot when I walk, I've noticed. The only thing I do right-handed is play guitar (badly).

Fine. Fine. Loose use of words again.

Well, Ms. Par·TIC·u·lar, I meant that my right hand tickles more keys than the left. Soooo, my right hand cheats on (cheats out?) the left. Er, something like that.

My rightie fingers are restless and looking to tickie tickie tickie sumthing.

Hey! Where'd that long (cough!) lissome leg and boot go? My fingers are feeling twitchy, twitchy, twitchy, and need something to flick and twist.
