The Democrats were weary of getting their own backsides handed to them.
They gave up on being as pure as the driven snow.
They did not dive in and get up to their necks in it, like the Republicans did.
But, they got their hands ditry.. (And their arms, too. Dirty work.)
There are people who do not get their hands dirty.
My subconscious must be having a hard time with accepting the fact that Democrats are not behaving like angels, and do fight back against fascists. Dirty is not flattering. But, it does have levels. Dirty enough, to be able to defend what is worth it, is realistic.
They are not seen in public.
These people have grown sick and tired of our democracy.
They hate unions.They want people to be so crushed under, that they will grovel.
They find unity of mixed social classes dusturbing and unerving.
OK This is just carelessness. Disturbing and unnerving are not words that are rare. This is the result of posting, when I should be in bed, sleeping.
They hate EPA regulations, or anything that tells them what to do.
They have finally made some headway into tearing up everything that irritates them.
They have found a way to get rid of anything that has the scent of FDR.
There is an unending supply of weasels that will betray anything.
They have spent billions.
What do billions matter, when you have trillions ?
Power of the people ?
The very suggestion, of power of the people makes them laugh.
What could people expect from life, a hundred years, ago ?

ideologically, i am a socialist, and have been since i can remember. 've voted for candidates for most parties, including a republican judge once, because i knew him and was confidant he would be a good judge.
my problem with jill is that she is a throw away vote. i would rather vote johnson, even though hillary is theoretically politically closer to my ideals. i'm still torn. i know in the end, my vote in my state will once again most likely not matter, but pulling for johnson has strategic benefits. my state is run very libertarian fiscally, yet we continue to have issues with republicans wanting to police the morality of abortions and such. that's why i like johnson. he's what i already live with, minus the religious craziness. (yes, i know it's more complex than that, but in so many words or less it's how i feel.)
i could very well show up at the polls and vote clinton. it won't be trump. i will decide on the day i vote.
