Le Chaumière Caché - Retreat for Lovers
This thread was inspired by Ariosto’s Apartments and a rousing “deserted island” discussion at the Rooftop recently. Unfortunately, while Ari wasn’t interested in buying an island just to satisfy my prurient interests, he did agree to co-sign my loan so I could purchase a beautiful bungalow on the island of Praslin in the Seychelles Archipelago. <grimace> Can’t wait to see what his interest rate’s are going to be!

Le Chaumière Caché
Nestled between Anse Lazio and the fringe of a giant palm forest, sits Le Chaumière Caché, a secluded bungalo for lovers.
The whitewashed cottage is fronted by one of the most magnificent expanses of white sand beach in the archipelago. As you enter through the gate in the low stone wall surrounding the tiled patio, you’ll note a palm thatched cabana – an excellent place to enjoy breakfast al fresco or cool off with an iced drink in the early evening.
When you first step inside, the impression is of a larger space than one might anticipate. A gracious sitting room and library, comfortably appointed with traditional rattan furnishings welcomes the weary traveler or offers relief from the heat of mid-day. To the left and beyond the sitting room is the bedroom suite which contains a sturdy kingsize four poster bed, woven mats over tiled floors and a large bath. A large soaking tub and stand alone shower are provided for your refreshment.
To the right and behind the sitting room is a fully supplied semi-professional kitchen; the refrigerator is filled with imported and local foods, there is a well stocked liquor cabinet and wine captain, a commercial gas stove and range. If you'd rather play than cook, catering services can be had from one of the local hotels.
Feel free to avail yourself of any amenity in the cottage. It is there for your pleasure.
Enjoy your stay!

The management asks that all guests abide by the following rules:
- No solo rentals, two or more must be ready to move in when the key is picked up.
- You do not need to contact anyone first, simply post as soon as you see that it's vacant.
- From the time of your post you have a full 2 weeks (14 days) of REAL TIME, to enjoy the use of the apartment. If you finish before that no problem, but you cannot stay over. At the end of the week, just leave the keys under the conch shell by the door for the next occupant.
- No consecutive rentals are allowed although you can certainly return after a new rental has been completed.
- By making a post to the effect that you are returning the key, you end your occupation.
