My stepfather is a chain-smoking, morbidly obese shut-in who doesn't leave the house for months at a time and just lies on the couch all day and watches television.

He sleeps for 70% of the day.

Growing up, I had a crazy shut-in neighbor named "Chet" who was really mean to everyone and refused to use electricity and rarely flushed the toilet.

That guy was fucking crazy! I really felt sorry for his wife, Eleanor, she was nice.

That was 20 years ago, and they were both very elderly back then. I'm fairly certain that they are deceased now. Probably from old age/natural causes.
